That was a nice news piece about your father. I think the standing ovation was much more appropriate then a moment of silence as well.

As someone who lost both my mother and father by the time I was 11, you have my deepest condolences... I imagine in some ways it is even harder for you then it was for me. Being so young, they were just my parents, but at your age, he was more then your Dad, he was a friend.

My dad had a beautiful service today. The day started out rainy and dreary, but an hour before the funeral the rain stopped and the sun came out. The church was nearly full of family and friends.

Thanks to the OS family. Y'all have been amazing. I really needed this thread.
