Re: Best state to live in?
Consider that a good thing. I don't know why people love living so close to their relatives. People need to move away. That way during the holidays and vacation you actually have some where to go.
That is why I am glad my family is spread out across the USA, Canada and Europe.Comment

I get what you're saying but family is precisely what makes it tough to really consider moving. If times get real tough and I really need to look elsewhere, I will. My wife and kid come first and foremost.
Everything that is going on has just got the wheels turning, that's all. That's why I'm wanting to seek out some opinions. But leaving family is not one of the factors that I'd put on the positive side. We're too close, on both sides. It would be tough.
Right now I live an hour and change from my parents and we also live about an hour and change from my wife's parents. We have our independence but our family is still only a short car ride away. I see that as a pretty big blessing.Comment

Re: Best state to live in?
I've lived in California, Nevada, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
Of those...
1. California
2. Ohio
3. Michigan
4. Pennsylvania
5. Nevada
I can't stand hot weather so aside from Nevada, all these places were fine (lived in Henderson, outside of Vegas). For Milbut
