Injuries?
I just sprained my wrist and boy is it annoying. Can't really do anything. I did it on saturday and got It X-rayed to find that it wasn't broken. That was good. Now I have a splint. Good thing is, I've found how to hold a controller with this, so I can still keep my rivalry with my cousin on assorted sports games on Thanksgiving.

Well, I actually hurt (probably sprained but didn't go to the Dr.) my left wrist the day before Thanksgiving of '98. My relatives from NC were in and I was inthe basement with my 4 year old cousin and 9 month old Newfoundland puppy who was already over 100 pounds. Unfortunately the puppy was being a little to wild for my cousins liking and he kept running away from her though this only had the effect of making the puppy chase him even more. I kept telling my cousin to come over to me so I could grab the puppy, but he didn't listen and eventually ran up the stairs. Of course puppy ran after him and I ran after the puppy only to catch my toe on the edge of one of the steps and fall bending my left wrist back hard when I caught myself on the edge of an upper step. I know I must've done some damage because to this day the wrist occasionally acts up and gets real painful for a day or 2.
I also badly sprained my right big toe when I kicked a vending machine at my college after it ate my money for the 4th time (You'd think they'd have fixed it after the 1st 3 times I reported it).
When I was 4 I was chasing someone in preschool and ran into a wall and got a concussion.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Man I used to be Mr. Injury prone when I was a child. I was famous for getting injured. Let's see....
- I had Osgood Schlatter as a child and it was bad. But I don't know if you would necessarily count that as an "injury".
- Two concussions (one from playing football and one from a car accident four years ago)
- Broke my wrist getting thrown off a trampoline in the 7th grade (don't ask).
- Broke my arm in the 9th grade trying to dunk when I clearly couldn't lol.
- Split my knee open when I got pushed playing football in the street (12 stitches).
- Dropped a hot iron on my toe in high school but that didn't turn out nearly as bad as it should have.
- Fractured my wrist trying to do a backflip off of a matress outside (retired from flipping after that).

I had that too. I think it's more a growth thing.
Someone my sister went to school with did something like that, TWICE. I don't remember exactly what she said happened, but this was at the elementary school and there was a stage at one end of the gym behind one of the hoops. I think the kid jumped from the edge of the stage and grabbed the framwork behind the backboard and tried to climb out to the rim only to fall and break his arm. I had a pretty painful neck strain my senior year of high school. It was one of our rugby games and I was in a scrum and when it broke, my neck was twisted hard. I couldn't move it more than a little for almost a month.
I'm also four weeks out from a Grade II Ankle Sprain. I had to wear an air cast for three weeks and am just now able to run and move on it with an ankle stabilizer. I'm using one that has three adjustable velcro straps that support the arch and the side to side motion of the ankle.I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

-Tore my ACL about 4 years ago playing ultimate frisbee. I tried to jump right in front of an offensive player to intercept a pass, I grabbed it, but he grabbed it too. He pulled it towards him while my momentum was going the other way and my knee got caught in the ground and twisted and gave out. After like 10 minutes it felt alittle better and I tried to convince myself it was only sprained and I tried playing again. Within 30 seconds it gave out again. Had surgery, for the most part it's fine now.
-Sprained one of my wrists 3 times. I broke my right arm & right wrist falling down the stairs in my house when I was 12. I just missed a step, came tumbling down, and put my arms out to break my fall.
I had a cast on for 4 months. It was cool though because I'm left-handed so it didn't effect my writing in school and a lot of hot girls signed my cast and I got a lot of attention lol.
The bad thing is my right wrist still gives me issues 10 years later. I'm not sure if it's related to the fracture but every few months out of no where I get sharp wrist pain lasting for a couple weeks. My right knee popped as I was jumping a fence a few years ago
(Was a 3-4 foot fence, and I landed just fine)...Not sure what really happened to my knee because I never went to a true professional. Took me about 2 weeks to walk somewhat normally again with the pain coming back randomly every now and then.
I've never had the confidence to jump over things ever since.Comment

I've had a heel injury for over a year now. I cry myself to sleep every night about it (not really, but I might as well).
