Re: New Year's Resolutions- 2011
Cutting down on my cursing is my one resolution for the year."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

You really have to admire this post.
Granted, the admiration isn't so much from the standpoint of quality of argument as much as it is firm adherence to a ridiculous belief, but the zealousness should be appreciated.I write things on the Internet.

lose weight and improve my life.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: New Year's Resolutions- 2011
I'm not a big fan of New Year's Resolutions, but here are some of the changes that I want to make in my life:
1) Lose wight. I guess that's a lot of our answers, but I really need to drop about 15 pounds. I am currently 6'6" 260. Not horrible, but I gained at least 12 pounds this winter. The holidays always kill me. I'd like to be 245 or so by the spring, and then cut some more after that. My ultimate goal is to be 240 at less than 12 percent body fat.
2) Be more organized. Some guys at work got me a really nice yearly planner last year and I didn't use it once. Pathetic. They got me another one this year, in hopes that I'd use it, and I will. This also includes NDAlum's same goal of filing away important bills, mail, paperwork, etc... My wife and I were good at this when we first got married, but we got away from it.
3) Continue to grow as a person, which will help me be a better husband and father. Getting my family in church every Sunday will be a big start to that. Church isn't what makes a person live out their faith, but it is always great to be around like-minded people who are supportive.
4) Save money! This is a big one for me. I need less toys and more money in the bank. I want to put some money away for my son's college fund. He's only 9-months-old, but I want to start now.
5) Play more sports. I love playing... Especially basketball. It's good for me and I love it. It's just tough to find the time.
That's good for now. I think all of these are pretty attainable goals to have.Comment
