Re: Off Topic 2011
-In football I was a really big Marshall Faulk/Torry Holt fan, so I rooted for the Rams, but from like '04-'08 I really only paid attention to the playoffs and Super Bowl. When I was originally going away to college I wanted to pick a team close to there so I could watch, so I picked the Browns. That worked wellSteelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Re: Off Topic 2011
I'm not a big fan of people liking different college football and basketball teams. I like the University of Tulsa, not just Tulsa football or just Tulsa basketball. It's annoying when people like Duke or UNC basketball and Notre Dame or USC football, although the USC fans have diminished thanks to Reggie Bush.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

It looks like it was on the side of the road and got kicked up by the trailer. If that happened to me I'd need a new heart.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: Off Topic 2011
While we're on it, does anybody believe in being a fan "by birth"? Because i'm conviced I was born a LSU, Saints, and Georgia Tech fan. LSU and Saints are obvious, but GT could seem odd. My dad swears he was born a Georgia Tech fan because while my granfather was stationed in Stone Mountain he would always go to Tech games. And so he grew up with his father always trying to get the Tech box score so he assumed it was natural. And by my dad doing the same (except watching ESPN) I just picked up on being a Tech fan.
And then in the late 90's, like every other Braves fan outside of GA, TBS converted us to Braves fans (he'll claim that came in part with GT, but following that logic he would love the Falcons as well.)
And I guess I'll add my own touch with Oregon, which I jumped on the bandwagon in 2007 (I was a freshman so forgive me) with Dennis Dixon and then when (we thought) LSU wasn't going to get into the BCSNCG, I started to pull hard for UO.
But at a certain point, you're not considered bandwagon, right? And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Auburn def. isn't anything special in basketball, but I've always been a fan and will continue being a fan. When it comes tournament time, I may root for one team over another, but def. not a fan of any other teams.Comment
