From left to right: Simba (RIP, these last 5 years haven't been the same), Madison and Kobe. That picture was taken probably 7 or 8 years ago. I love how each of their personalities is perfectly displayed in this pic. Simba was a motherly, calm but fierce type...Madison is a tweak and Kobe has really no idea what's going on, just happy to be a part of things.

Actually you didn't win because I have work off today and was going to donate anyways. I just sent Steve $20 and a PM so if I'm still white another week from now then bother him about it.

And I did contact Steve last week, but only because I had issues with trying to donate and I asked him. Eventually I got it sorted it out, but I had to wait for my bank acct to verify paypal. And then I just got lazy.

I think I finally found why I just don't have any love for the BoSox anymore.
The thing everyone needs to recognize is that the Red Sox bandwagon fanbase is different than others. The Yankees, the Cowboys? These teams have ******* fans who love them because they win. The Red Sox are different.

ESPN and multiple national media outlets picked up the Red Sox story in 2004 after their famous comeback over the Yankees. They told the story of the underdog who hadn't won a World Series in 86 years. This made people root for the underdog, who went on to sweep the Cardinals.

Suddenly, the underdog team that people rooted for was suddenly the World Champions, and they called themselves fans of championship winning team. To this day, when the Red Sox have a $162MM payroll, these know-nothings villainize the Yankees for being the "evil empire," when, by this point, they're just as bad. Theo Epstein may have won championships, but he turned this club into one worthy of hate.

The signing of Carl Crawford for entirely too much money, and the trading of a top prospect for a player who went FA at the end of the season was what broke me out of the blind devotion I've had to a club on which I was raised. I didn't watch a single Red Sox spring training game, and I won't watch a Red Sox game with the intent of rooting for them this or any season as long as Epstein is GM. I won't root against them, but I do love watching Epstein's attempt at the Steinbrenner strategy blow up in his face.

Yep, I guess I should do that too. That reasoning makes perfect sense, I mean it's not like the Phillies have a $172 million payroll or something.

And about the Gonzalez trade, he's gonna be signed long term this year. They didn't want to sign him early because A, he had a shoulder injury and they didn't know how it would heal, and B, they saved on the luxury tax by signing him during the season. I think you are the only one who doesn't like Epstein. So just admit you're one of the bandwagon fans who doesn't know ****.

I've always rooted for the Red Sox because they're the flip side of the Yankees rivalry. And I enjoyed Jimmy Williams managing. I will never stop having the Sox as my 2nd team behind the Mariners.

There was a class in New York and before the playoffs last year, the teacher asked who was rooting for the Yankees. Everyone raised their hand except Johnny. The teacher asked him why he's not a Yankees fan. He said "My dads a Red Sox fan , my moms a Red Sox fan, I'm a Red Sox fan. "
