I've always assumed Dressing and stuffing were one and the same. What is the difference between the 2?
Honestly I can't remember anything about the taste, smell or texture of stuffing other than I hated it and wanted it gone. As for dressing, I've had it many different ways and they're all delicious. My mom's mother makes it really dry and almost bread-like. My dad's mother makes it kinda soupy and filled with chicken. Dressing with cranberry sauce is one of my favorite foods ever. Not real cranberry sauce, but the jellied sauce in a can, lol.

My grandmother (dads side) makes it sort of dry and it's okay.
My grandmother (moms side) makes it somewhere in the middle. It's moist, but not too runny and is the best ****ing thing I've ever tasted.

I would not like your mom's dressing......I hate it really dry. Dressing suppose to be SOFT and MOIST. Not dry and bread like. Far as meat, I don't care for meat in my dressing, even though I have seen people put chicken, turkey wings and duck in it before.
Let's talk turkey lol. My dad always deep-fries a whole turkey and injects it with Cajun seasoning. Seriously I think I look forward to Thanksgiving more than any other day of the year. I'm really skinny too.

I looooooveee Thanksgiving, all this stuffing talk has me thinking about it already.
Mom makes a nice baked Turkey. Covers it in some butter and Tony's, injects it with this Tony's turkey stuff she gets every year. Also puts some stuffing inside the Turkey I believe. #TeamDrumstick
Homemade Dirty Rice from scratch, my favorite part. Always so much leftovers that is usually my next 5 meals.(Arkansas/LSU is defined by Dirty rice for me lol)
Get some of the juice from the Turkey pan, put it in a pot with some onions and now we have rice and gravy. Mashed Potatoes, biscuits, etc.
I might die in culture shock going from the FSU food here to a good ol Cajun Thanksgiving.

Last year, my grandmother baked one and my uncle deep fried another. I prefer deep fried turkey over baked. We usually have ham too for those who would rather have that. Thanksgiving really is my favorite holiday.
If I had more money to buy people things, I would like Christmas more, but I love going to my grandmothers on Thanksgiving and eating and playing some backyard football with the family.
Christmas and Thanksgiving are neck and neck for me. Both have great food, most of the time Xmas dinner is similar to Thanksgiving, except last year we went to my grandma's house and she slow cooked a roast on the stove for like 8 hours and had the best rice and gravy i've ever had.
Thanksgiving has more food and football, but Xmas has presents so it's a tough call. I'm still at the stage where i'm not expected to buy my whole family presents luckily
My in-laws do rotissere (sp.) turkey. It's fan****ing-tast****ing-tic. I had it for the first time a few years ago, and it tasted like (I'm assuming) heaven.
..... it was one of the most awful and insulting things to ever enter my mouth.
ehhhh yeah twss. /countryboy reference.

christmas food for us includes a Prime rib and slow braised spareribs. Mac and cheese, cornbread muffins, etc...
Thanskgiving... the usual fantastic faire.

The celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Of all the professions, after all, few people are less suited to be suddenly thrown into the public eye than chefs. We're used to doing what we do in private, behind closed doors.
Did it include multiple gallons of maple syrup? Delish I'm sure.
Bring on the Canada bashing.
Also I never heard of Evander Kane before but he killed for me yesterday. He's now on the radar.
