Anybody ever done this? It's interesting, I might consider giving this a shot. I have about 2 weeks before the semester starts up again so I can hide from public until I "stabilize."

No soap, no shampoo = no problem?
I was reading this blog this morning about a guy who read an article a while back about another man that stopped using shampoo and soap. He said for the first couple weeks it was rough and it took him a while for his body to stabilize, but since then everything has been much improved. His wife constantly compliments him on the way he smells, he has no dry skin or dandruff, and he said his skin is softer than it's ever been.

There was a time when I stopped using shampoo for a few weeks to see what'd happen because the shampoo's I had weren't agreeing with my hair. After a while my hair started stinking something fierce and I definitely had dandruff, so I don't know if there's really any truth to this.-Ohio State-

This reminds me of the theory I heard where you can train your body to get its REM sleep in 20 min cycles. You are far more like to lose your mind before you train your body to do it, but its apparently possible.
As for this topic, I believe it to a degree. I have heard things in the past about soap being harder on your skin than you realize and whatnot. I can see the logic of it, but I am not willing to do it.Comment

I wouldn't do this because I love taking showers and just standing there would be akward. I like to feel fresh after I use soap and shampoo.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Would it work the same for my face? my face is real oily as well...I swear sometimes I think facewash makes it worse, but i think it's just my eating habits. One time I was sick for a good week and didn't eat at all and my skin wasn't oily.

I couldn't do it. I'd feel slimy without a shower that long, not to mention the Mrs. wouldn't like it either.......Comment
