When I first got my F-150, it cost me $140 to fill up. It's cost under $100 now with gas prices the way they are. My issue is when gas was $1.40 a litre, it was $140 a barrel...now crude is under $33 a barrel, global demand is still low and gas prices are still hovering around a dollar a litre.I am the lesson after the fall.Comment

I don't understand why the entire country has the number of taxes it does. Well, yes I do, but then I start ranting and then get kicked out of OS.

It's basically stalling here. You can get it for $1.67-$1.77. It's in the low $1.50's back home. Still a good 10-20 cents off the lows in early 2009, but I'm fine with keeping these prices for awhile. 2009's stayed low for a couple weeks then started climbing back up. It's stayed below $2 here for quite a while now.Comment

I think gas prices are just about as low as they're going to get ($1.63-$1.73 here). I remember my dad getting gas for $0.899 or so back in '95 in southwest Tennessee. Inflation puts that at about $1.40 today. Regular gas is $1.47 back in my hometown. Oil prices are similar, and lower than that with inflation, and I'm sure gas taxes are higher than they were 2 decades ago. Iran wants to increase supply so oil may drop more, but it's hard to see more than another 10-20 cents coming off prices. All I know is, I'm going to be pouring money into oil and gas stocks later this year because it's inevitable that it will at least return to a more normal level of $60-$80 a barrel, if not the $100+ we saw just a couple years ago.Comment
