IIRC, you were interested in the Tacoma? What swayed you to the Cobalt (I know the finance dept. was giving you issues)?

Congrats on the ride! Very nice and it looks fast!

I had made a short list for myself. The Tacoma was at the top, but right now I can't jump into that sort of thing. They retain their value really well and every one I looked at and liked was at least 20,000 or more.

Yeah, I love it. It handles really well and is deceivingly quick. Once you step on the gas and the supercharger starts building pressure, it accelerates really fast. I plan to take it easy and take care of it, but they manufacture it with a supercharger for a reason.. I have to open it up sometimes.

Don't know why, but I came in here expecting a whole different class of cars..

More speed, more muscle, more luxury... Not necessarily more expensive, just sportier..

That's OS for you, some college people, some out of college, teenagers, and grown men.

My car's paint isn't quite as dark, but this is it, essentially.

Still driving the 2002 Explorer and will be for awhile. I like the car.

However, lately I have been putting in more time in my parents' 2009 Kia Optimas over the summer. These are the first cars we have owned with the shiftonic automatic transmissions, which as most of you know, are automatic but you can sort of manually shift if you choose to (no clutch, of course). Anyways, I had a lot of fun with the sportronic system lately. It is fun to be able to control when you shift, IMO. Anyways, this has led me to believe that I would like my next car to be a manual transmission.

My dad knows how to drive stick, but we don't have a car that is manual and I really don't know anyone who has a manual. I really want to learn, but I don't know if it is going to happen.

I will likely have my 2002 Ford Explorer until I graduate from college, at least (2014), so it doesn't matter too much as of now, anyways, but it is something I've been thinking about and a skill I'd like to learn.

Whatever the case, there is little out there that is as fun as hitting up some curvy, two-lane country roads!

Here you go, speed and luxury in the driveway, not american muscle but if a Supra with 500 hp isn't considered to have some muscle then who knows.

Supras are rare these days. I'm a huge fan of those cars since I was a kid but they've been long gone since then.

That's because everyone liked to tune and race them so they stopped selling them as much.. My mom had one of those things and I loved it, sad to see them go.

Yeah i wish they would bring them back; the engine is as solid as you can get. So fun to drive.

Never really like the way they looked, but it's hard not to respect the Supra.. Fun little car stock, and a lot of room for improvement aftermarket. I'm partial to LS engines myself, but those 2JZ engines are the ****.. They're built solid and you can get some crazy #s out of em..

                            Nice cars RockinFaMike..

I don't think tuning played a part. Sales and demand decreased for cars like the 300ZX, 240SX, Prelude, Supra, 3000GT and Celica.

True, but the Supra is so rare now.. If I drove around my town I could find all of those cars within an hour besides a Supra. Those Nissan 240SX's are also great cars...
