Yeah whichever way you decide to go will look sweet. It's kind of a win-win since if you keep it a Malibu it stays original, but if you go the way of the SS you then get the nice stripes and other SS package benefits. Just post pics

Right now I have a 1974 AMC AMX Javelin and old 1967 Ford pickup that was my grandpas. I believe it was a one year-only body style. The AMX is almost bare right now, but I do have all the parts. The plan is to paint it Plum Crazy Purple with the fading black T-bar on the hood. I don't know what will happen with the engine yet, but whatever it ends up being will break your neck when you stomp that *****!

I just don't know what to do with the truck yet since it was my grandpas. Do you keep it original and conservative, or lower it a small bit and put some nice 20's on with some smoke stack exhaust?

Putting 20's on any old vehicle is the worst thing you could do.

Nice, i'd never drive it, but its nice, but for the price you could buy a mint condition GTO and have a motor pushing atleased a thousand horse and still have money left over instead of a 2013 Viper, but thats just me.

Anyway update on my car, my tranny just got back from portland, stall converter, torque converter, shift kit, high perfromance, the works, and next monday i gotta help my mechanic, and he said by next Thursday she ought to be done, and i'll post pictures for everyone.

hey all, if you would have to choose between the 2012 Altima, 2012 Ford Fusion, or 2013 Sonata (not different from 2012). which would you choose?

I'm leaning towards the fusion because its the cheapest and has all the tech i want (usb/moonroof/bluetooth)

Get the 2013 Altima. It's redesigned and it comes out on the 25th. If you can't get that, go with the Fusion.

I was told it was coming out in July from a dealership. I can extend my lease by a month and get the altima though. I test drove the 2013 and it was pretty sweet.

Sonata hands down for me. Ford Fusion always did look ugly to me. I could care less about moon roof, blue tooth and USB ports.

Well blue tooth and usb are a must for me. Fords sync system actually has apps through Iphone and android for streaming and stuff which is cool

Another question would be if I were to choose hyundai... Whether or not to buy it. Not sure if their reliable in the e next 5 yrs since the 2011 redesign was done. Not sure if I'd buy any of the cars since they all the cars I'm looking at are at the end of their designs. I think I rather lease for now

We have 4 Sonatas on our lot, at work.. and they're all manual. They drive pretty good and I've yet to run across any major issues.

I like some of the things Hyundai is doing, now..

I'm hoping to get a new car within the next 9 months or so. The car I have now is a 2005 Kia Spectra5 with 81,000 on it. Not a lot of miles, but I feel it getting old and the maintenance is starting to become a nuisance. This past January it needed new tires, some sensors, and a catalytic converter issue (which thankfully was under warranty or else it would have been $1500). This past weekend I took it and got the oil change and the service guy recommends getting my timing belt changed ($750), but I haven't scheduled anything yet as I need to check with my manual and then call around for quotes. I like the amount of room it, though admittedly there's a ton more room than I need. The biggest item I haul around on a normal basis is a guitar and that can generally slide into the back seat of any car.

Anyway, long story short I just feel like its time to let this car go. Or ideally I would like something to compensate as I really love the amount of room for trips and occasionally hauling people around, but I know the personal property taxes might eat me up with two cars. I've been looking at the sub-30k RWD sports cars the past couple of days: Scion FRS, Subaru BRZ Limited, and a little bit of the Genesis Coupe.

The things that make me hesitant about stepping up to something like that rather than a small sedan or something more roomy are the RWD (I like my FWD for snow, though that isn't all that common anymore), premium gas, and the little/no room for anything besides driver and one passenger.

I still need to do research on total costs (insurance, gas, taxes, etc) but it would be nice to have some kind of idea/goal to save towards. Besides those cars what others would you guys suggest looking into? I'm not thinking about test driving quite yet, just would like to get some ideas to think about.
