Another white Civic, nice. That engine is the one that is in the SI/Type-R versions right?

It's still a 1.6, but it's a B series, instead of the D series that comes with the EX. It puts out about 60 more hp from the factory.


It may take me a while to finish what I'd like to do, but I guess that's the point in calling it a project car... + I'm trying to get a second decent vehicle, for when I start having to drive to work further.

I don't guess it's for gas mileage purposes because my Cobalt has a supercharger and this civic will eventually have a turbo.

I love a good v8, but I'm still into 4 cylinder cars, deep down..

I was sitting on the injectors and pullys for the SS for a few months.. I finally found a cheap way to have it tuned, so made the swap. It added roughly 60 hp to it too.. It's so much quicker now. I went from pushing 10 lbs of boost to 16..

If you can turbocharge the Civic, then kudos to you.

Hopefully the one I have holds up for a few years. I really want to work on the car and renew it, perhaps make it a bit lighter. Sure it might be better to plop down for a new car around that time, but I prefer the Civic to the subcompacts they have out there today and I prefer even more than the current Civics.

I used to love Honda, but I don't like the direction they took with the current generation cars. Honda went from pushing performance to making certified chick cars. The Prelude is gone, the Civic looks like garbage.

At least the Acura lineup has a few things going for it, still..


One of my friends from work just bought an older Acura RSX Type R. It's actually pretty quick to be stock..

My prelude is a piece of ****. Just keeps dying on me, Want to get another one prelude. The RSX is everywhere where I live.

The RSX Type S is quick, real quick.


I understand what you're saying about Honda, but how do you feel about the Si? The 06 and up models, not the hatchbacks.

One of my friend's wife actually owned an 06 Si and I drove it a few years ago. It's fairly quick, I'm still not crazy about the body style. I don't plan on buying another Honda. I'll stick with messing with my old one from High School and that's it..

I can't blame you, RWD is much better in stronger engine cars such as the Infiniti G series. I've always liked those since it came out back in 2003 mainly because I'm a huge fan of the Nissan Skyline line.

Perhaps sometime down the line I can own one, but I need to focus on making sure I don't spike up my insurance in the time between.

The RSX/Integra is such a sweet looking car. I'm really disappointed Honda pulled the plug on it for the TSX/CSX (Canada) and they're pushing the ILX as the successor (yet 4-doors won't fool me).

Honda has received so much negative press on the new Civic that they're rushing a re-design or whatever that's supposed to come out later this year. They shouldn't have been lazy with the initial re-design in the first place and I hope it looks more like a car like the older civics and not whatever weird, bloated design it has had for this generation and the previous generation.

As for the Prelude, you can thank the Accord Coupe of that. Honda should've kept the Accord a 4-Door Sedan and stayed with the Prelude, since both Accord versions are different anyways.

Finally bought my my motor, and high performance tranny, all for a total of 5.300. The motor is a 350. only pushing about 300 horse right now, i bought some hooker headers, so that should help a little, and if the motor dosent have a 4 barrel carb, that will help some too, the motor is all black, but when i get some more money i'll probably buy a chrome cover for it, pictures on the way in about a week or 2.

Just bought a mint condition BMW 318 ti...so many things brand new under then good, runs like its new and looks it. I'm not used to having this much power under my feet..lol.

Just tinted the windows yesterday, I'm in love with this car!!

Well ya know since I'm single again i needed a nice ride.. I had an 05 se galant about a year and a half ago until my ex total it, even know it wasn't her fault and got paid out in full for it, she still can't drive!!! I went from a 93 Toyota corolla...

Depends on what your looking for car, truck, fuel mileage, whats your price range, how much is insurance going to cost you there are a lot of factors to take in? Tell us about how much your looking to spend and what type of vehicle you think you want and I'm sure we'll all try to help you out the best we can.

A Mailibu, Impala, Civic, or Accord all would be good cars with affordable insurance.
