Hey guys, looking for some advice. Going to be getting a new car probably late next month and am having trouble figuring out what make/model to look for. Going used (probably 3-4 years, unless there's something newer in my price range), and probably have $15-18k to play with. Two of the cars I like are VW GTIs and Mazda3's. Have to be automatic, too (which I know drives the price up on the GTI), as I can't drive a stick and don't have a car to borrow to learn).

I've noticed with the Mazda3, I can get a 2010 fully loaded right around my price range, and I'm liking the idea of going that route, especially if it's in my price range.

Basically, can anyone suggest any similar cars that I should look at? That's what I'm having trouble with, I don't know what cars are out there or where to look to find out.

I have an '06 Mazda3 sedan. It's drives smooth and it's not too bad for the price range. A newer one fully loaded will also have a lot of features I really wish I had. There isn't a lot of performance though and mpg isn't quite as high as I had hoped (I average about 26mpg).

Are those the new Infiniti sport rims? They look sharp

They are from the G37 coupe IPL. Not a fan of the coupe, but the wheels are top notch!

A decent car with great features is the Chevy Cruze. It is a little higher than your price range, but you can finance the rest and help out your credit, if it needs it.

It has a nice look and great features, great mpg, limited power.

Nissan has some even cheaper alternatives. Versa Sedan comes modestly priced at around 13K "fully" loaded. A Sentra is another option.

What do you want out of a car? Do you desire looks or features? Or a little of both?

If you want a little of everything with some power as well, you could probably find an 06-07 Infiniti G for around your range, a little higher. Great cars, smooth rides, very enjoyable.

If price isn't a huge issue, definitely go with the Maxima. Better look that's for sure.

Just finishing my lease on my 09 Maxima! Great car but I am Maxima'd out so to speak. Owned the past 3 generations of the car and now closing the book on that chapter.

No idea what I am getting next.

Infiniti! Love the Nissan/Infiniti look and performance.

I think BK owns a G37, I'm sure he can tell you just how awesome it is.

The FX is also a gorgeous ride.

Have y'all seen the new JX? It's a beast. If I wasn't tied up with a Rogue and an Altima, I'd definitely cop.

It definitely is the nicest in that class, that I have seen; however, Fx is something else.

You can't go wrong with Nissan/Infiniti at all.

My ultimate goal is to sport a "Maxima/G/M", "Murano/Fx", and the love of my life, the GTR, in my driveway.

I agree. I owned a Maxima and now own a Lexus GS350 and Infiniti G37...all great cars. However, I think I might look at an Audi next (although my wife wants to look at the Infiniti QX as she thinks an SUV in addition to the other two cars would be nice). I don't think we need an SUV of that size, but we'll see.

Took it to a shop to get the Bluetooth fixed and someone backed into it. That someone was an employee.
