We got a good deal on this one. The Infiniti dealer in Baton Rouge had a 09 with 32k miles and wouldn't work with us at all on the price. Then we found the 10 in Covington, LA (which is about an hour away) and we talked them down about $2000. We ended up getting the 10 for $500 more than what the Infiniti dealer was selling the 09 for. The features were pretty similar, but the 09 didn't have Nav and the 10 does

Just a bit of back-story, in my early twenties I sold cars at a Nissan dealership. We occasionally got Infiniti's in on the used car side and I would sit in them, while waiting on customers, and dream about owning one one day. Now I finally own one (even though it's used), so it's a nice feeling to get your "dream car". Driving home last night I felt like a 16 year old driving their own car for the first time. It was an awesome drive home
I know how you feel.. We have two Infiniti's now, which means I enjoy the drive now, whether I am driving my or my wife's car.

Those FX's are a great time. Have fun!

My mom is considering trading in her second vehicle on something sporty. She has a Suzuki XL7 that she doesn't want to get rid of, because it's easier for family trips + my sister is about to have her second kid..

I went with her to look at a few cars and we test drove a newer v6 Genesis coupe... for a Hyundai.. I was thoroughly impressed. They are definitely stepping their game up in some areas..

Hyundai's have definitely taken a step forward in the sedan class. I wouldn't mind a Genesis or Sonata in the future. They are reasonably priced and have great features.

My brother has an '11 Genesis Coupe. Fun little car, great price and their warranty is unmatched.

Hyundai has definitely stepped up their game.

There's a few. I've had them in the past. Living in So. Cal, everyone and their mother has one, so I have kind of shied away from them the last several years. Plus to be honest I have preferred the Infiniti's. Personal choice..

                Great cars though...

My wife loves compact cars and had a manual Elantra for 10 years and she loved that car, until she totaled it this December with 170K miles on it. We got $4500 for it with 17 days rental and we just bought a Kia Forte EX 4 door sedan.

She loves it, blue tooth technology, and like BK said, unmatched warranty, you can't go wrong with the warranty's for the Kia's and Hyandui's. Plus, it has that Eco boost on it for mileage. Our next car after the Kia Sedona van(family car) would be a Sonata.

That's exactly why I didn't look at them. There are so many 3 and 5 series BMW's around here. Also a lot of X3 and X5's.

Yeah, I prefer Infiniti myself, and was probably going to get a g37 coupe after graduation, but the deal my friend was giving me on the 328xi coupe was too good to pass up.

The only way I'll stay in the Bimmer family past this car is if I get a m3 coupe. Other than that, like most of you, I'm going Infiniti or Audi. Bimmer's are a dime a dozen it seems, aside from the higher-end models like the M or 6.

Plus Bimmer drivers are the biggest ******** I've ever seen, especially 335 drivers towards 328 drivers. It's really a shame how some of these guys get off on putting down other Bimmer drivers because their car cost 10k more.

                        Ugh. That just sounds gross.

I've got a couple projects going..

I just replaced the injectors and then the pullys on my Cobalt's supercharger and a new intake.

I also came across a steal on a B16 engine that I'm swapping in my Civic. My dad helped me tear it down and we're going to replace pistons, rings, etc. in order for it to handle a turbo. I'll probably keep the D16 engine or sell it part by part.

Cobalt picture is a little older, as you can tell by the trees.

Nice, I'm interested in the civic project. How much was the B16?

Keep the civic rough on the outside lol, it'll be a real sleeper.

I'll be paying only $450 for it. My dad was cool enough to front me the cash (he's interested in the project too) until next week, when I get my bonus from work + some travel time... should be more than enough to cover it.
