 Re: OS Cars Thread

I bought the '12 Hyundai Elantra GLS back in April and still loving the car quite a bit. I average a good 36 MPG and have even got it to 40 MPG a few times. I went from a '97 Chevy Cavalier which was a base model to an almost fully loaded Elantra. The only sucky thing is that 2 weeks ago I find out that my job is getting eliminated at the end of August. I either have to fine something else in the company, look outside or unemployment......so that is not good considering I have a car payment to worry about.

 Re: OS Cars Thread

Looks like a solid car for a pretty decent price (MSRP for the manual tranny is $24,930, $26,030 for automatic).

I'm still aiming for the six-speed Mustang V6 as my dream (affordable) car, though.

My current car, a 2002 Ford Explorer, just passed the 98,000 mile mark within the past week.Last edited by superjames1992; 07-03-2012, 01:41 AM.Comment

 Re: OS Cars Thread

 Hey everyone,

I'm in the market for a brand new car right now. Kinda tired of worrying about when different parts or pieces are going to break down, so I figured. Eff it. Get something new.

I'm really torn right now between the Ford Focus or the Chevy Cruze. Both are priced roughly in the same range (20k cap for what I want) I dont need all the bells and whistles for a car, but some modern stuff would be neat.

I'm at a point now where, I really need to just go and test drive both and see which I like more. My brother works at Ford and I would be able to use his discount (A plan I think) so I have that in my back pocket as well.

I'm a Chevy guy, so I say go with the Cruze. But heck, I don't really know much about the Focus or Cruze specifically so take my biased uneducated suggestion with a grain of salt.Hey everyone,

I'd go with the Cruze but I also just bought one a few days ago.

 Re: OS Cars Thread

Am I the only person that really doesn't give a damn about most features in cars? Just give me a car that is fun to drive, has a radio, and I'm good. I don't need any fancy gadgets, GPS, hand-free navigation, etc. They just run up the price and I couldn't really see using them, anyways. I get in a car to drive (and I have fun doing it), not to do other things.Comment
