I like my 06 Super Charged Cobalt, but I'm thinking heavily about trading towards an 09 Cobalt Turbo Charged... I like a lot of the features, including the launch control and "no lift shift" feature they added.
It's probably just me being stupid. I've got a couple grand tied up in my car all ready. Dished out the money for the stage 2 kit, which added 80 HP + another 15 HP from an aftermarket intake.
I wouldn't call it a sleeper, but the exhaust is factory, except I took the resonator off.. its a true v8 killer.
I had to replace the wheel bearings a few weeks ago. I can seriously catch rubber shifting through third..

Re: OS Cars Thread
I'd like to get a new car. My 2002 Ford Explorer is alright, but it's now approaching 100,000 miles. I got it from my grandmother when she got a new car (a 2009 Ford Escape) in 2009 and, while I don't mind it, I'd like something with better gas mileage and I think I'd like a manual.
I have a lot more fun driving my parents' Kia Optimas (they are not great, but aren't nearly as bad as they get a rap for). They aren't manuals, unfortunately, but they do have the tiptronic system, which is better than nothing, I guess...
Bottom line is that sedans are much more fun to drive and are cheaper on the wallet. I really don't have any need to have an SUV, anyways, but who can argue with getting a car at almost no cost, especially when you were in 12th grade? (It replaced my previous 1992 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer).
Given that my grandparents lived in Florida, they also didn't get the Explorer in 4WD, which really sucks when snow comes around.Comment

My wife is currently car shopping. Should get $7,000 over what she owes on her current car. She's looking at the Chevy Cruze, Ford Focus, Ford Fiesta and Dodge Dart. Only problem with the Dart is it doesn't come out for a couple of months and it's the first year for the car.
Do you really care where I sent this from?MLB: Texas Rangers
Soccer: FC Dallas, Fleetwood Town
NCAA: SMU, UTA
NFL: Dallas Cowboys
NHL: Dallas Stars
NBA: Dallas Mavericks

Re: OS Cars Thread
I thought the Dodge Dart was already out. Solid choices there, but given the class-type most of those cars are in, the Fiesta is one you should probably not spend time looking into.Comment

Nice looking car with decent options but little room in the back seat.
Dart looks sleek too, but not sure about spacing.
If you're in the market for small-sized sedans, definitely the Cruze is a good choice.Comment

Re: OS Cars Thread
I currently whip a 2009 Lexus IS250 -- its stock right now (what I have is the sports package I assume) -- just waiting to get back to the States so it can be dripped in VIP style.I'll add a picture soon.
I also have a 2000 Dodge Intrepid -- I love it because it houses my sound system, which at one point my trunk had 6 12s in it (you can hear 'fore you see me I had King Kong in the trunk).
And finally, my baby, my SR20DET (Red Top) 1989 Nissan 180sx -- imported from Japan. Just started working on it before I had to come to Germany so not alot has been done to it. Actually, I've only put on a BOV and exhaust -- I'll be lying to say I remember what company I went with, I was stuck between 3. You can also hear me before you see me in this because my exhaust is loud as ish. I'm hoping to drop a new engine in it when I get back -- not sure which one as I hear a couple of them will work.#WashedGamerComment

Re: OS Cars Thread
Any recommendations on a car? I live in Austin and mainly ride my electric bike around, but it would be good to have a car when the weather isn't ideal (raining/too hot/too cold) or when going far north/south, since I live downtown...PSN-Shugarooo

You could probably pick up a used Honda Civic for a good price.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

We ended up getting the Chevy Cruze 2LT. It has leather heated seats, nav system, parking sensors and other various things. After the trade in we paid $16,700. Not bad.
