    Re: OS Cars Thread

Looking good. I'm glad I don't live in Virginia anymore as I hated having to have a sticker right smack dab in the middle of the windshield.

Noticed a few orange spots on my car, ordered some Iron X to get rid of those things.

Thanks. I think I'm going to have to add a Quick Detailer at the end of my wash regime. The water at my house is hard so combined with the black it spots even easier.

I took her up on the Parkway today. Curves felt nice and rubber banded out of a few. Such a great day for a drive.

Nice. Thought about those for a minute, but doesn't leave much room for the dog and woman.

For those who like to keep their ride nice and clean I recommend chemical guys for products.

I've been using their products for over 2 years and won't buy anything else

I've been using their MF mitt, grit guard, and foam gun since I got the WRX. Love the foam gun.

I use their Speed Wipe Detailer, Citrus Wash & Wax concentrate and New Car Shine premium dressing.

As well as the 2 bucket method. Haven't graduated to foam gun yet

I basically use the foam as a pre-soak before I do the hand wash. For shampoo I've always used Meguiar's Gold Class as well as their Ultimate Quick Detailer.

I'm not sure what wax I should pick up whenever I do the pre-Winter wash/wax. There's a couple good black wax kits that I've heard good things about - Chemical Guys' Blacklight being one of them.

Just used Iron X today on the hood and roof of my car, glad to get rid of those iron specks, but that smell is horrible. Also polished and wax the front bumper after letting it sit for a month after getting it repainted.

Regarding car cleaning products, I use Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine. Works pretty well.

You should post pics of your cars. I would post pics of my lowriders from car shows but I have to find the damn pictures in storage. I might look for them this weekend. I've had 4 show worthy lowriders. All candy paint sitting on 13/7 gold or chrome Daytons (100 spoke) with fat white walls. I miss those days.

93 Chevy Caprice Classic - 2 pump 6 batteries. Candy baby blue paint and chrome and gold daytons. (My high school car.)

93 Cadiallic Fleetwood LTE - 2 Pump 6 batteries. Black with light red flakes in the paint and a fifth wheel with matching black leather wrapped and all chrome daytons.

85 cutlass supreme - 4 pump 8 battery setup all bridged with reinforced body and extended a-arms and fiber glass quarter panels. All candy green with pinstripes and gold flakes in the paint and all gold daytons which cost a grip. lol

98 Lincoln Town Car signature series - 2 pump 4 battery setup bridged. All silver and black with pinstripes and a all black top I had re done. Looked like a raider car. so sweet. Sitting on light chrome and black powder coated rims.

I also had a 84 Buick regal white with chrome daytons sitting on a full stack of 2 ton coils front and rear that made it look like hydrolics with the car bounce when driving, and the high look between the wheel wells but it was never lifted and it looked so clean and that was stolen from my house. I think I knew the person who stole my car too but was never able to prove it.

All of them have been sold to car clubs expect the Lincoln town car which I sold to a friend who fell in love with my car. He was a raider fan from San Jose, CA.

Mine are all lower for handling, not slammed or tucked. Wagon exterior needs work and svt panels need installed. Motor install not finished. Got gauges installed and working!

Race car has been in the garage but hasn't moved besides for dollies for 5 years, no rust though. We use salt in Illinois.

                            I'm a car guy.
