Re: The Nostalgia Thread
Truer words have never been said, when my mom came to pick me up to move from Louisiana to FL she bought me a gameboy and Pokemon Yellow for the 16hour+ drive, that was prolly the best investment I played the heck out of that thing. I really enjoyed Gold as well tho but I only replayed that about 3-4 times compared to replaying Yellow 10+times lol. I remember finally stopping after the remakes of Red/Blue.
Brings so many good memories now, I still have this huge book of pokemon cards in my closet(DON'T TOUCH MY HOLO CHARIZARD) and the show was pretty win too. I bought my lil sister the remake of Silver for her DS for her birthday, now she won't stop playing. Now I occassionally get the urge to play lolSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: The Nostalgia Thread
Lots of awesomeness in here. Discovery Zone, Crossfire, Treasure Mountain, Tecmo Bowl, TMNT.
Anyone remember Criss Cross Crash? It was a hot wheels thing, I believe, where there were 4 looping embankments and they all led to a middle section where they were fed through rollers to speed them up.
Micro Machines were tight.
I had this one hot wheels set that you came with cars that you could put decals on with like hot/cold water. It was so sick.
P.S. Blue Baracudas all dayNHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: The Nostalgia Thread
It's funny, the summer after we graduated HS a couple of friends and I started playing Red and/or Blue again. We were all grounded since we all just got in trouble, so what better way to waste time than to play Pokemon on GameBoy again? It was still as addicting as it was when I was in elementary school.

Whenever we had inside recess in elementary school, I would literally run back to the computers to play this:

I'm a child of the 80's. I always loved those cartoons where they take a few seconds to transform dramatically all Voltron style haha. The toys were the best.
Tiger Sharks!
Centurions
I'll leave some commercials from other toys and cartoons I liked.

Re: The Nostalgia Thread
A few more. The first 3 are more Toronto centric and the other two are Canadian.
- Bargain Harold's: This was a chain of thrift shops that I used to go to ALL the time as a kid. I always liked the distinctive logo. I can't find a good pic of it at all online though.
- Becker's variety stores: These were ubiquitous for AGES! Nowadays you'd be lucky if you even see one
OK now for a couple of Canadian things:

Re: The Nostalgia Thread
Something else that I was thinking about is how about 10 years from now, there's going to be kids who grew up with iPads, iPods, smart phones, 3D TVs, etc.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.
