Well we just see it different. That kid is way bigger than that other kid. If he body slammed that kid on his head he would be charged with something. Size does matter here, so does strength and that big kid could have just put the kid on the ground and sit on him until help came. Again I am going off my experience with crimes. A lot of lawyer will be able to get him off the big charges, because it looks like he finally snapped. And VT, it is all good I get a lot of laughs from your posts too. So we will call it even.

Well you'd have to explain the whole situation. But if that kid brought a knife to school thinking, today's the day, if he picks on me, I'm stabbing him, then yes attempted murder. By picjking on, I am not talking about being struck in the face and put in physical danger.

If they were in the lunch line, and the other kid started hitting him and he grabbed a knife(not that they probably have steak knives in school) to defend himself. Self defense. Even if he pulled a knife from his backpack or pocket after he was assaulted, you could make a strong case for self defense.

What the big kid did in the video was self defense. He incapacitated his attacker with 1 move and walked away. If he would have curb stomped him after the slam, then maybe some charges would come, but he did one act and then walked away. Just like if he had punched the aggressor and the aggressor hit his head on the concrete and died from the 1 punch, still self defense.

That does make sense about the aggressor. I still think if he bust that kid's open and the size of him compare to the kid. He would be in my class the next day. I had a guy that protected himself from another kid and beat that kid so bad he put that kid in I.C.U. Even though the other kid pick on him first. He still got charged with assault. So maybe it is different in California?

The difference is, the large kid used 1 move, 1 act and walked away. Had he curb stomped the kid after the slam, then you are looking at something different.

I think what you are describing is someone whaling away on another person after they could have safely gotten away. Thats the difference, Casey made 1 move, determined it was over and he could safely get away and walked away.

The mom of the kid who got slammed even said her son deserved what he got, she does think the attention the video has gotten is unwarranted tho because her son has received a ton of hate for it.

Well, maybe she should have raised her son to respect people and not be an *******.

This is where I disagree. If you are that big and being bullying you should be able to stop it. There is a reason a lot of bullies are bigger. In fact I would say this is oxymoron. A skinny little kid bullying a big kid. I mean all the bullies at my schools where bigger than us. And the ones that were small had a older brother at the school that every body was afraid of.

Only when you ****ed with his younger brother. I was small so he did feel the need to come to my rescue a lot. But a lot of times I didn't tell him, because I didn't like him beating up people.

If the skinny kid got seriously hurt well that's what he deserves.

The smaller kid didn't deserve to have his neck broken.

I have no problem with what occurred, but to say the kid deserved a serious injury is going too far IMO.

Not to mention you've got his "posse" hanging out recording the entire ordeal and cheering him on. How do you think this made the "bigger" kid feel?

Those are good points, but I still feel that size does play a factor. Picking someone up that is really smaller than you can really can hurt them and then body slamming him on the concrete. I don't know I think this seems a little to aggressive. But it is just my opinion, not fact. Just the way I see the video. And yes this kid is a punk, but he is still a kid. So it is hard for me to say he got what he deserved. I give the mom credit for saying what she did. Most likely he is a trouble at home too.
