I think they're throwback "inspired". They also have a home version inspired by a different era.
The font on the aways are allude to the font from the Larry Brown aways. Which is odd, because their homes back then had a different number font.

They're probably based off of a uniform set from the '50s. It has that look to me.

Yeah, the helmets may have been a "Nike" idea. But if the Naval Academy likes them they can still use them. No surprise that UA finally got them. They have been making every attempt to get Nike out of the state of Maryland for a long time. This was a major coup for them.Moderator
