Look, I hate the Falcons and don't think traditional isn't always good, but just go back to this, please.

I agree wholeheartedly but you know me, i'm always old school when it comes to these things.

I think it's a dumb look and all football teams should avoid this in the future. Thank you, Jaguars for this travesty.

Now with that said, if they would have done an all blue matte helmet, with an Orange "S".. it would have looked bad a$$.

Actually you should blame the New York Mets for introducing the idea in the first place:



The only baseball team where two tone/gradient works is Colorado. Thankfully the atrocity that Texas was threatening the world with didn't see the field:

Meh, looks as bad as the Adidas uniforms it looks like the helmet design emulates. At first glance I thought it might be carbon fiber, which might be worse, but looking closer it seems to be the Adidas jersey fabric design.

It's a different way to say "Don't rest on your laurels" or "Be better than you were yesterday".

Also, since that is the old school "Fightin' Ducks" Kelly Green, I wonder if we will see the more, ahem, "traditional" dark Forest Green like Oregon wears most of the time.

Just because one or two teams pulled off Chrome/Hydro helmets (Oregon, TCU) doesn't mean everybody else can.

The dude abides to bowling ball helmets, tho.

Here's a "far out into the future" tip but I was listening to the radio here and the developments ongoing with the Raptors rebrand was discussed. Apparently one of the designs being thrown about is a black and gold uniform set. The Raptors have to hurry up (5-6 month window) if they want to get the new unis ready for the 15/16 season.

Only the logo/numbers/stripe are chrome. The helmet itself is their normal black.

You are correct. That's the scuttlebutt at the very least. It's nice to see MLSE actually thinking "outside the box" by having Drake be a big part of what the Raptors are all about.
