Re: Bin Laden is dead!
The bottom line is there is no way the US would lie about this because we could instantly lose all credibility for pulling such a stupid stunt. There is really nothing to gain for it as it would be far to easy to disprove.
I guess the only speculation could then be that the government has him in custody instead of him being dead, but for the entire world, is there really any difference?Last edited by Trevytrev11; 05-04-2011, 02:09 PM.Comment

Re: Bin Laden is dead!
I agree that not releasing the photos was the best option. President Obama is thinking in the best interest of the safety of the United Sates it's citizens and our troops around the globe. If the photos were to be released that could mean the repercussions could come sooner than later.“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Yeah, honestly, I don't even want to see the photographs. This man was evil and I'm glad he's gone, but I don't want to see the pictures, I'll take their word for it that he's no longer living.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: Bin Laden is dead!
This is not provable, and neither is the reverse. You make it sound as if he was doing just fine and then suddenly some "stressor" made him snap. Sorry if it "offends" anyone, but if this is not inherent, it's certainly engrained. Which in turn brings it to a characterological level, not some mental health breakdown or crisis. This guy has been learning how to be and act (and act on) this method throughout his life, because, in part, his sub-culture has trained him that way. Put your political correctness training aside and DO NOT excuse him.Comment

What convinces a parent to allow explosives to be strapped to a little girl then walk her toward military personnel and then blow her up?
What convinces an "man" that he should use his family as a human shield in a fire fight in order to gain a momentary advantage in a fire fight?
Bin Laden took the Islamic religion and twisted it around and used it to convince countless muslims that suicide, murder and cowardes is the way to send a messenge. How many, muslims, suicide bombers and thier families has his "messege" ruined.
Bin Laden was a sociopath. The "hate" stems from the fact that he launched a war against this country and uses unarmed civilians to fire th first shot of that war. As much as we hate to admit it. Bid Laden was mildly successful in having a lasting affect on our way of life. Air travel will never bw the same.

Re: Bin Laden is dead!
So we can get photos of Saddam's sons are jacked up and we can get video of Daniel Pearl getting his head lopped off but we can't get OBL photos.
LOLz just like clockwork...
And people wonder why there's conspiracy theories.Patrick Mahomes > GodComment

Re: Bin Laden is dead!
Saddam's sons weren't anyone's heroes. They were spoiled rich kids. And Daniel Pearl's video wasn't released by any US media. The OBL pictures will eventually be available. They will be strategically leaked.Comment

Re: Bin Laden is dead!
Let's not forget the 9/11 attacks was not the first attacks on America orchestrated by UBL. He is responsible for the US Embassy in Kenya, The bombing of the USS Cole, The World Trade Center bombing in 93, and many more.“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Mildly successful? It's arguable the he has had more of an impact on the daily life of Americans than any person in history. Which is only a great reminder for how important it was for the U.S. to take action.Comment

This report was recanted... his wife was shot in the leg and not killed, and not used as a human shield.Comment
