You think these terrorists care about our rules? You think they care about our justice? They are cold-blooded, bred-to-kill machines. They harbor no emotion, no remorse. They don't care if they kill their families, if they kill themselves. Nothing. They are stone-faced diabolical robots.

Excuse me if I don't give a **** to show them how our justice system works. The very system that they resent so much. You think they give a **** if we show them we're "above" them? Do you REALLY think this? Drop the utopian fantasy. In times like this, the only justice we need is bullets to the brain.

The problem with this bro is that we then lower ourselves to their standards. The western system is better because we don't do that.

There's no need to reply to this with a "i don't give a %%%% etc". That's your emotion speaking. Same with other guys here who said they don't care that Bin Laden's 12 year old saw him killed. That's emotion speaking also.

The reality is that the western system is better...that's why people are fighting for it.

The reality is none of us wants to see a 12 year old girl, who had nothing to do with any of this, see her dad killed...that's why we are better than them.

A lot of emotional posts on this thread. Understandable.

But deep down, our way of life (and I mean the western way...i am Australian, the system originated from England / Europe even though Americans call it 'yours'...LOL)...is better than what guys like Bin Laden want. That's why he wanted to defeat it.

Us not lowering ourselves to his level is ultimately how we defeat him and the other fanatics...

They don't HAVE standards. That's why they want to murder anybody and everybody. They're animals. I don't even want to insult animals, because they're more respectable than these......

I am talking about where people say we should abandon our ideals and just fight these guys on their own level. I am talking about posts here where guys have said "hey, i don't care if his daughter saw her dad get her brains blown out".

WE ARE NOT FIGHTING ON THEIR LEVEL. If we fought on their level, we would have killed thousands of innocent civilians in process. We would have destroyed homes, families, cities. We killed an international terrorist. A mass murdering mastermind, so sick and demented that he had virtually zero emotion except for hate for the western culture. How is that on their level? Because we didn't read him his Miranda rights. Come on really?

I don't see how killing a war criminal, a man who declared war on the United States and was an enemy combatant is fighting on their level. He declared war against us and we ended it. End of story.

Can't believe that people think that this has ended. When one leader goes down, 25 stand up in that leaders place. Especially, considering (to them) this is a religious war. To the fundamentalist Muslim he is a hero and martyr, and that is looked upon with more favor than the western mind can possibly comprehend. Not like they are going to through their hands up and surrender their ideals and convictions. If anything, they will be more motivated than ever before. I suspect that 9/11 is just the tip of the iceberg. This "war on terror" will never end.

There were some people who did say that it didn't matter

We have killed thousands of innocent civilians in the process. We also have destroyed homes families and cities. We take out around 600+ civilians a year as per UN estimates. When it was the worst in 2003 when we war doing a ton of bomb runs we took out between 2000 and 20,000 civilians depending on which stats you quote. I'm not saying that we're as bad as he was, my point is simply that your personification of us as this infallible, moral entity in war isn't correct.

You're fighting on their level because you just claimed that they're the only ones who kill civilians and have no ethics. If he was unarmed and shot in front of his daughter we've just done an act in the same style that you're criticizing.

Like I said most here are speaking on straight emotion and that is more then understandable.

I am with Raz and a few others. I hate OBL and I am glad he has received his punishment for being behind the attacks on us here in NY

But we try to build our rep on being above all. Our pledge of allegiance states that we are one nation under GOD with justice for all.

If there was a chance to take OBL and have him face his justice which we all know would have ended in his death (penalty) quickly then we did honor our code of justice.

But some say we need to not waste money therefore throw what we believe in out the window to save money and get the sense of revenge.

Now this is all based on me feeling that based on the White House's 4 different stories in less then a week now raises an eye brow as to what he really did.

We are now suppose to believe that OBL acted cowardly and shoved his wife to the Seals and was reaching for his AK after all week the White House first said OBL was involved in the firefight and he was killed towards the end of the mission. Now it is all different?

Michael Moore said the same thing last night. He said this misson was to kill and not bring him back. Well then say that and do not say OBL was given the chance to surrender. I do not blame our Seals, they follow orders only.

We have also taken out tons of innocent people in those countries, but people seem to forget that. Where is their justice

Whether right or wrong, there was no way that they were going to let OBL live. I lot more I want to say, but I love being on OS to much.
