Hopefully it works out for you, but honestly, I have never had the problem so dont know what to say other than relationships are all about compromise and work.

Thankfully, every girl I have been serious with have let me watch or play whatever, and if she is not interested she will read or take a nap or write or whatever, and I do the same. No big deal. But then again, there is seldom anything we really want to watch and they have all been very open minded when it comes to watching things or participationg in my interests, and I of course, have returned the favor, and actually found some cool new things. That is what it is about :-)

Really, if that tv thing is our biggest issue, and right now it is, I think we are doing really well overall..

Seems to me the bigger issue is whether or not she's "Preggers" or not.

I'd do what BK and others have said and get that test done.

As for the drinking thing, I feel that if you can handle all your responsibilities and do not miss anything because you were drunk/hungover, then drinking a few nights a week is fine.

No need hitting her with a "We need to have a paternity test" conversation if you aren't 100% sure she is.

As for the drinking thing, I feel that if you can handle all your responsibilities and do not miss anything because you were drunk/hungover, then drinking a few nights a week is fine.

A glass of wine or a beer with dinner and I can agree with that.

But if someone is drinking to get a drunk on a regular basis, that could be a problem. It certainly can put a strain on a relationship.

How would you feel if you're married with kids and your wife likes to get drunk once or twice a week? Is that OK?

Yeah you are probably right..how does one go about broaching that subject though, lol

You cant never bring this up unless the kid comes out black or latino looking lol(if you and your fiance both white) otherwise just forget about get it out your mind now and go up to Zales and by a ring.

If you do bring it up and you are wrong she going to hold it over your head forever every time she want to when a small argument or disagreement she will have ammo lol.

Completely. If she got drunk after the kids were asleep and did not drive and was able to continue her responsibilities the next morning like it didnt happen (i.e. didnt miss work or neglect the kid) then I am completely fine with it.

Btw, yes, it could be a problem with some people, but I don't see getting drunk once a week as a problem. Also, with women, my thing has always been that if I had a habit before we got together, and you knew about it (smoking), and didnt say anything before we got together, you do not have much standing to try to get me to quit 6 months down the road.

But he's not married with kids. People get drunk about once a week all the time. Is it good to be black out hammered all the time? No. But, he said buzzed.

If you go out drinking with friends, you likely go out and get buzzed. Maybe it's Friday night Happy Hour. Maybe it's Saturday at the club. But loads of people do it. No one would call them alcoholics.

I'm not labeling anyone an alcoholic. Just saying if you need to get drunk on a regular basis that may be a problem.

As far as a "good buzz", that's subjective. To someone they might have that feeling after 1 drink. For me, it'd be around the 3rd or 4th. Someome else might say 12.

My feeling from ODoggs post was that its something more than social drinking, but I could be wrong.

I got thinking marraige/kids from the other thread, looking for an engagament ring and possible pregnancy.

Getting buzzed and wasted is two different things. Now if he was drinking a half of bottle of hard liquor everyday then yeah, he would have a problem.

But getting buzzed once or twice a week, sounds like the average guy. I know guys who drink everytime there is a game on tv.

Just like I know women who drink wine everytime they watch True Blood and The Bachelorette.
