I don't know why I'm drawn to your threads ODogg. Maybe I'm the only one being honest here but it's sort of like when people slow up to see a car accident (which is odd, b/c I hate people that do that). Sometime I feel like I'm a moth to a flame... heh.

I'm actually curious to find out how she will deal with you and the release of NCAA. I know (because again, you like to make it very public) that you like to drink heavily and play NCAA Football.

How are you going to handle when she wants to see the Housewives of New Jersey/New York/Pittsburgh/Idaho?

It's all part of growing up. I know that sounds a little odd given your age but everyone leads a different path. Perhaps this will be a way for you to step back and determine if you can make the sacrifices necessary in a relationship and not be bitter at her for being the cause.

Also, you have to know if she is willing to make the same sacrifices - it can't just be you. Two selfish people in a relationship usually doesn't work out too well.

its funny you say that because she's actually cool with me being "alone" with NCAA and beer when it comes out. I think she understands that since she's a huge fan of the true blood shows and books and I told her she's allowed to go read her book and ignore me when it comes out.

I've also brought up the issue of two older people being too set in their ways to her and she agrees it's an issue. It's one of those things where it's one thing to discuss it and then another to practice it. I really believe what it takes to make a relationship work is that each person should have their own self separate aside from the other. if you don't allow for each others individual self to exist then the relationship is doomed.

this is why I encourage her to go out with her friends without me, to enjoy her books without me, to have a life outside of shaun, and I just hope she allows for me the same benefits as well, to enjoy my nerdy pursuits like football video games, OS, beer and other juvenile pursuits.

A relationship in which you must give up yourself is doomed IMO.

So what's the update with this?

well still no period and she's convinced she's pregnant now since she's 9 days late but I dunno, I don't see how it's possible, my sperm count was 150,000 (a regular sperm count is 10-12 million) and the docs said it was nearly impossible...

also, I really don't think she'd cheat on me. I just don't see it, maybe i'm a sucker but I don't think it's possible. at this point we're worried about cancer or infections or such.

she's going to see her doctor tuesday and we will know more after that..
