            They test for different serum markers to detect pregnancy. Specifically something calleg beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (b-hCG) which is produced by the placenta throughout pregnancy and enter the maternal circulation. Blood tests are much more accurate than urine tests. The urine tests also work by detecting the presence b-hCG, but as I said earlier they are much lest accurate than the blood test.

              Because believe it or not those aren't always accurate. blood test is the best way to go.
