I've done Disney World alone for a week...I don't mind it when I'm single and need a good vacation...a lot of trips like that I wouldn't want to do with friends cause then it'd have more stress and whatnot, better off alone

I'll be in Charlotte then, maybe if you want to come November 5th, that weekend, I'm going up to Raleigh for NCSU/UNC football game, and its my birthday the day before. But either way works.Comment

After being married for over twelve years, I would welcome a week or so vacation by myself. Hall pass comes to mind, without the annoying friends.

My birthday is actually the 7th. That'd be a nice pre-bday weekend, though going to the game would probably be an expense I wouldn't need to add on top of the flight and ****.Comment

I could possibly get it for 20 bucks, remember I still have friends that went there.Comment

Re: would you go on a vacation by yourself?
Very true, I had not quite thought about that. What's your time-frame/travel plan looking like for that weekend? Get there Friday and stay the weekend or only there saturday/sunday for the game and Saturday night?Comment

Re: would you go on a vacation by yourself?
I'm a very sociable person, but I do value having "me" time, which is why I'm able to do stuff like go to the movies by myself, eat in restaurants by myself, go to the mall by myself. So a vacation wouldn't be out of the ordinary. Just a natural progression. But with my wife and kids, that scenario would probably be a long time in coming.Comment
