"I was referring to his pitching ability and our ability to knock a ball out of the air with a thermal sight. The tank [M1A1 Abrams] can track multiple targets while moving in rough terrain at 50 miles an hour."

This poor cover up infuriates me more than the actual comment. Should he have said it? Probably not. Should people be up in arms about it? Definitely not.

PC has gotten out of hand in my opinion. it makes how or what you call a race, religous views, and just common interaction. I didn't grow up when everything was PC , so kids getting beating was common place, parents correcting kids where they stand. I also believe that PC will have to go away too, its creating self entitlement to children and some adults. No one wants to work for it. Just because of what you look like, or so Little Jimmy(wwe) won't get his feeling hurt when he's not picked for the baseball team. Hey Little Jimmy why don't you practice in the yard, put time in. I coach youth sports, it bugs me when I don't see these kids try their best. the parents don't teach responsiblilty or hard work. they teach blowing sunshine up butts and instead of working through difficult times or learning lesson of life.

People crossed the "too PC" line a long time ago.

            It's embarrassing.

But it's not like hatred has been something new. It's been around since the beginning of time, people were just mentally tough enough to deal with it. Now, we just coddle to everyone which makes us softer than the generation before us.

Now days, people are wanting to throw out "_____ card" for whatever suits them best. We aren't a thickskinned group anymore. It's pathetic.

Also, we've allowed words to have too much meaning. We've given these "bad words" too much power. Louis CK absolutely got that skit right on that.

Yes, too many ultra thin skinned people who want the make this a nerf country, where then is no way any one can be hurt in any sort of way no matter how small or insignificant .
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: Has America gotten to politically correct/touchy?

I think there is a major difference between being politically correct and over sensitivity. To me, political correctness is more about respecting others, especially those different from myself, with the same respect that I want shown to me. Over sensitivity, I think, is more along the lines of glossing over all the real, negative **** in the world to make everything seem honky dory. I mean, how many kids today know what it is actually like to lose or fail at something compared to previous generations?

Yeah, I was a recruiter, and not once did I get an email saying " Hey some dude scored a 99, better get over to his house and beat the Navy". It just doesnt work like that lol.

This country has become so divided. It now consists of special interests groups and lawyers who run around crying foul 24/7.

It appears to only have gotten worse in recent times.

In 2002 it underwent a major revision. In 2004 , the test's percentile ranking scoring system was re-normalized, to ensure that a score of 50% really did represent doing better than exactly 50% of test-takers.
I took the test in 1992. I saw my test scores. I had the Army, the NG, and the USMC calling my Mom. The NG came to the house twice, only I was out of town all summer. There was an Air Force enlistee @ MEPS the 1st time I was there and he had scored a 115.

FYI - I was physically DQ'd from any military service, I did mention that I'm sure.

I have not read one single post in this thread, but the only thing I have to say on the matter is that *most* everyone in America thinks it's someone else's fault or responsibility. I'll leave it at that.
