Re: Motivational pictures etc thread
We had to memorize this when I was in the 6th grade; I didn't quite understand it then. Now, it makes all the since in the world and I can still fully recite it word for word.

Damn this guy's transformation is amazing:
From barely being able to run 10 yards to completing the Boston Marathon starting at age 47. Just goes to show you are never too old to start improving your health and your quality of life...

Re: Motivational pictures etc thread
Seriously, one of the best threads I've read. I've been in a rut over the past few weeks. Eating crazy, not working out and it has to stop. From the hour I spent perusing this thread, I've taken a serious look at myself (where I'm at, where I'd like to be) and realized that I've just got to be a better man. For myself, my wife and for the people. I've shed tears looking at some of these videos, man. I think we can all improve our outlooks on life in some way, shape or fashion. As Reaman stated above, God bless this thread.
Jonesy, you just keep crankin' 'em out man! Thank you.Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you. Fool me twice can't put the blame on you. Fool me three times, **** the peace sign, load the chopper let it rain on you.

1. We only get one life so what not make the most of it?
2. Why be average? If we only have one shot at this thing why waste it just settling for mediocrity?
3. Comparing yourself to others is virtually irrelevant. As long as you are constantly looking to improve yourself and push your boundaries is all that matters.
This next vid was pretty mind blowing imo:
Watch Arthur Boorman's amazing journey -- filmed and edited by his 19-year-old son Warren -- as he sets a goal to walk again and to reclaim his life. An Army veteran who was hurt in the first Gulf War, Arthur suffered for 15 years with the effects of a botched surgery that left him unable to walk without the assistance of leg braces and canes. By February 2007, he had ballooned to 297 pounds and, by his own admission, was waiting to die.
In looking for a yoga program to alleviate some of his constant pain, Arthur found the YRG workout created by Diamond Dallas Page. He gained inspiration and strength from DDP and other members of Team YRG to propel him toward his goal -- "I Will Walk Again!" -- and, ultimately, to blow past it. Watch here as Arthur vividly demonstrates that life is not about how many times you fall down -- it's about how many times you get up.Last edited by Jonesy; 09-18-2011, 01:41 AM.Comment
