Not that ive seen. In fact the guys here tell pretty much everyone that they can buy it used and if the want to return it within 7 days they can.
If they ever do get rid of it i'll just go there when they have a deal going.

Just a hint, if they do tell you no, just go to another gamestop.
      Than repeat the cycle.

I do make sure my employee's and ME, tell them "Hey, this is a copy that was on the floor, it was not played but I used it for display purposes only." Usually they understand, sometimes they don't.
It's different at each store. Some of them open every box and then keep the disks in the drawers under lock and key. Stupid and I the one time I experienced, I never went back to the store. If you have opened the package, it is not new, Gamestop shouldn't sell it as "new". Gamestop treats "new" as never played.

I have bought a display copy once because I forgot to pre-order and it was the last copy they could sell me that day. No issues with it and they let me know like you do.

As much as I dislike gamestop's policies, I admit that most stores in my area "promote" the 7 day used game policy. I've never done it myself but have been tempted to.

The crappy part is that I play almost exclusivly sports games so my trade in values totally suck. I understand why its low but, really 25 cents I could live with $1 just out of spirt
            Gaming hard since 1988

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.

I've tried to stay away from GameStop as much as possible. The guys that work at my local store are the typical know-it-alls that get an attitude when you're not interested in the games they like and get snippy with me when I try to buy a sports game instead of WarCraft.

I hope the whole company goes under.

I really only go to one GS anymore-- a little out of the way for me, but the guys working there are pretty cool, not the pushy know it all types.. Never had an issue with any preorders I've done (other stores i have been to try to tell me not to get so and so games).. Otherwise it's BB for me

Why do you hope the company goes under? A lot of people would lose their jobs.

I don't think he means he wants the people to all lose their jobs, he just wants Gamestop and their way of doing business to go away.

It's a dead end job anyways. Probably would be doing them a favor.

The Gamestop here sells unopened games and the workers don't hassle you at all.

That being said, Best Buy is in the same complex, and KMart is right across the street. So, for new games, I choose either of those depending on who's giving the best coupon for my next game. Usually it's KMart.

Maybe for the 20 year old front desk clerk, but not for the managers. Dead end job or not it is still a job that pays the bills.

To make up for their bad ways: Anyone who did buy Deus Ex PC from Gamestop can now get a $50 gift card and B2G1 on used games.
