    Re: Energy in the Morning

I normally take a 1/3 of a scoop of NOXplode to get my day going or a whole scoop if I'm working out that morning. . It gives you just enough energy not to be jittery and it also makes ya poop! Win, win!

For those of you having to wake up super early the only advice I can give you is to go to bed at a reasonable time and to be consistent with that bedtime. Your body won't ever get used to waking up early if it doesn't have a consistent rest period.

A shower does it for me. As someone also mentioned, you need to be consistent no matter the day.

I wake up at 7 am every day even weekends. That's not super early but I used to wake up at 6 when I worked out in the mornings.

I rarely have trouble waking up in the morning and friends and family usually wonder how I do it.

For me the thing is sleep. Gotta get sleep. The second thing is just getting up and following your morning routine. At some point in your routine, whether it's brushing your teeth, taking a shower or eating breakfast, your body is going to realize you're for real.

Nope. When I first transitioned to really early morning starts I would be real tired in the afternoon around 3 or 4pm but now that my body has adjusted to it I find I have good energy all day.

The body is a pretty amazing thing and will get used to just about anything if you give it time....

Ok today I've started getting up an hour earlier to get into my cardio instead of waiting until I get home from work.

I'm hoping I can adjust because not once in my life have I felt like a morning person.

Just keep doing it. There are going to be days you're going to say: "Ah, this is ridiculous."

Only you can push yourself to get up anyway.

If I wake up any time before 10, a nap is a necessity. If I don't lay down for another hour or two, I'm dead tired by 6-7 PM.

                  No.

                  But, it would be nice.

It takes a while to get used to. When I worked at ERAC and had to wake up at 5 am, I'd take a short 15 minute or so nap during lunch break. But that was also the first time in my life I seriously had to wake up at that time. My body wasn't up for it.

Today, different story. I don't have to wake up at 5 am every day, but when I do, I'm good to go for the entire day.

A nap? LOL. I get home from work at about 7, no such thing as a nap here.

However my commute today was filled with traffic on the bus lane, so I got about 20 minutes in.

No although I have felt the need a couple times, usually though those times involved an early alcohol beverage or two.

Two days in and already I feel better because I'm sleeping really well. As soon as my head hit the pillow I was out last night.

It all seems so obvious in hindsight. Now I just have to keep on pushing through each morning.

A question for guys who work out in the morning..do you eat breakfast before or after you exercise?

I don't personally though I have seen some trainers etc recommend it. I just work better with nothing in my stomach but other people feel weak and lethargic. For me empty stomach + caffeine = crazy energy and mental 'alertness' (not sure if that is a word).

It is true about the sleep. I get less than I used to but it feels more potent than it ever did before and I'm more refreshed when I wake up.

I do the same, I go to the gym empty.

Honestly, eating in the morning makes me feel lazy. Although it's probably not the ideal thing to do. It just doesn't work for me. I like to feel my lightest when I work out.
