    Re: Christmas 2011

Our last Christmas get together is tonight. I love stretching the season out as long as I can.
I am the lesson after the fall.

Doesn't, and never did feel like Christmas this year. Gone in the blink of an eye. I hate it.

Been in the mid to upper 70s here. Coupled with a low-key dinner between just immediate family and it's, well, pathetic.

        Re: Christmas 2011

Wife and I decided to take down the trees and the decorations today. The house feels so empty. Only problem, I'm still in the Christmas spirit.

        Small edit:

I keep finding small decorations that I forgot to put away.

Plus, I'm still in the spirit.

We took our **** down three days ago.

          /grinch

Usually we wait but we had a few early days and off days so we just took it all down than now we don't have to deal with it.

Still feels like the season though, due to all the new crap that the kids got lying around our house.

Our stuff will come down next weekend as it's a cleaning weekend. No point in bringing it down, dropping fake needles and stuff requiring a vacuum, only to do it again the following week on schedule.

I'm waiting until the end of the month. Between my main tree and the mini tree on the counter, that's what I've been using for lights at night, haha.

Tonight is Christmas Eve for those who celebrate Orthodox Christmas.

                So, Merry Christmas!

Just took down all the lights outside. Had to take advantage of the temps being in the upper 60's.

I'll leave mine plugged in until February and then unplug them. I'll take them down in March.

All our stuff is taken down and put away, but not without claiming a victim...our vacuum cleaner. The new one, however, is pretty sweet.

My wife and I bought the Dyson Ball vacuum. It friggin' awesome. All the great inventors are designing tooth brushes and vacuums it seems!

Ha, that's the one we just got, the DC25 "Animal" or something like that. I just hope it lasts and works great as we have one hell of a shedding dog.
