So I ran into a problem today when I realized that if I watched college football I'd be spoiling my beloved EPL scores via the bottomline.

So I stuck black tape on newspaper, cut out around the black tape, then taped my new black strip to the TV where ESPN's bottomline goes.

Problem solved. I feel like I could market this tool to DVR sports viewers everywhere.

Saturday evening I'll be at Heinz Field watching Pitt play Youngstown St. I'd say demolish YSU, but Pitt tends to underachieve and play down to their opponents so I expect the game to be close until maybe late in the 3rd quarter.

I'm also keeping an eye on Isaac as there is the potential its remnants could bring rain to the area this weekend. Fortunately my seat is under a roof so I'll hopefully be able to stay dry.

Pitt is favored by close to 30 or so?

I say Pitt doesn't underachieve and beats em' by 3 TD's min.

Kinda funny they are playing a school named after your favorite NHL team. Well not actually funny at all, more of a strange coincidence if anything.

We'll see. Don't know if there's a way to see lines from old games, but Pitt only beat Maine by 6 last year though they did beat YSU 38-3 in 2009.

As for their nickname, according to wikipedia YSU adopted the Penguin as its mascot in 1933, a full 34 years before the Pittsburgh Penguins began play. And also according to wikipedia, the Penguins nickname was inspired by the fact that they would play their home games in the Civic Arena which apparently was already nicknamed "The Igloo" even before they began play.

That performance was utterly pathetic. The defense was totally lethargic and couldn't get off the field. They need to get better fast or it's going to be a very long season.

Well, at least I got to see a cool fireworks show after the game.

So far I've spent my weekend replacing spark plugs and fuel filters in my car, heading to Sacramento tomorrow for Bugorama, should be fun.
