I think that's how it works, but I'm not sure. I don't follow California high school football and I'm relatively new here, but every once in a while if I have the local news on here I'll catch something about the playoffs and it'll be local teams playing local teams.

HS have bowls all over the country. Its not big **** like a college bowl but its something.

In the Bronx, Cardinal Hayes and Mount St. Michael have a rivalry bowl game at the end of their seasons every year for example.

There is also the City Bowl (not too sure about the name) where the HS stars of NYC play the stars of NJ. Thats another bowl.

Yup! I do it all the time. I record shows in case I think I'll miss them or if I know I'm going to be getting to the TV late.

I'm gonna use this so I can watch one show(that's from 8-8:30) and record another that goes from 8-10, so at 8:30, I can watch the other show that's recorded, and hopefully even get to watch it live(meaning the recording is over and I've caught up)

lol, now I can finally record some shows that only air on TV at 4am and I can't even find on internet ANYWHERE(youtube,or other sites). And HD shows too! No more cheaping out(cause of bandwidth limits) and watching SD quality videos on youtube of shows I missed on TV.

Alas, that was a surprisingly awesome date. We went bowling with some mutual friends that were also a couple. There was plenty of conversation and laughter, and afterwards she agreed to a second date! On top of all that, she told one of the mutual friends that she liked me! Huzzah! Huzzah! This Internet round* is on me!

Was digging through my backpack tonight and found about 10 different gift cards lol.

Got a pair of pajamas from Abercrombie (not sure why someone bought me an Abercrombie gift card, but it helped pay for half a pair of PJs lol), had $40 worth of iTunes gift cards, $25 for Wegmans, $25 for Regal Cinemas, $25 for Amazon, and somewhere between $50-$75 in Visa gift cards.

Guess who doesn't have to spend any of their own money for Christmas gifts this year? lol

I never wear pajamas to sleep lol. I just like to wear them around the house when I feel like having a lazy day. And with a $30 gift card at Abercrombie, there really weren't many options for what I could buy lol.

So do they have playoffs for each region or whatever, and then those winners play bowl games?

So foreign to me, I had no idea high school teams played bowl games after the playoffs. All we have is a Missouri/Kansas all-star game showdown type thing. Or we did anyway, not sure if it still happens.

Nor did I. In Iowa it's just the playoffs and you're done.

In other news, tonight I was out at a bar in town after a concert that I did for a choir I'm part of here at UNI. I was wearing a rugby style shirt with purple and gold stripes (why am I telling you this? Just bear with me... it comes into play). So, anyway I'm walking and all of a sudden a guy motions me over. This guy just so happens to be a starter on UNI's basketball team. He asks me to take a picture with him. I say why and basically got no clear response, but, me being a proper sports fan and all, wouldn't pass up this opportunity.

It wasn't until after that I realized why: (this story is related, I promise) This summer, I worked at a camp. I have dark hair and I wear glasses, I also had a bit longer hair back then, but pretty much every middle school girl that came through there thought of one person when they looked at me.... to be specific, this guy...
