Re: Off Topic 2012
I just go so upset for a second. I lost a bunch of game data (not all my games, but a lot of progress in my games) when my old PS3 died, and when I loaded up Red Dead, it was all the way at near the beginning. Luckily, I found where I backed up my file and all is well nowEagles | Phillies | Sixers | Flyers

Re: Off Topic 2012
First weekend spent at home, in over three months.
I'm usually sitting in a bar with some friends, either Friday or Saturday night. We all decided to take the weekend off, so I spent last night with this chick I've been chatting up and spent tonight kicking *** with the OSers on some Battlefield3. This game will NEVER leave my collection.
It's been a nice change of pace + I'll save around $100, probably..Comment

Re: Off Topic 2012
How do you guys stayed rooted in interest though, throughout the course of 162+ games? Surely you're not captivated through the whole entire season? Maybe some are.
When it's Football season every game is important, 1 loss could separate teams from playoff seeding, and be the difference in even making the playoffs. Week to week so much changes in the NFL that there's always some big story, and it's really keeps me engrossed week to week all the way up until the Superbowl.
Seems like in Baseball you can Lose 5 games in a row, Win 5, then go on to Lose 5 more and it still won't mean much unless it's late in the season. You could even go through a bad month as a team and still be in the hunt because of the sheer volume of games.
I can stay interested because it's the best game in the world. It's pure in it's simplest form. It's a huge part of my spring and summer and has been ever since I was in second grade. My summers growing up were spent listening to Dave Niehaus calling an M's game and waiting to hear how Junior was doing.
I love mowing the lawn in 90 degree heat and then when I finish, coming in to the house, cracking a beer, and watching a game. There's nothing better.
It is a long season, but I never get tired of it. It's the best of the year, IMO. Going to a game, whether it be a college, Minor League or MLB game... Nothing is better. I have already taken my son to a game and he absolutely loves it... He'll be two in March and I might make the trek to Seattle so him and I can go to Safeco to watch the M's. Might be a little too early for him, but I might try.
I love the NFL, but nothing will ever touch baseball for me. Best game on earth.Comment

I need to play that game again... I never finished. The Show coming out made that game collect dust quickly, but it's a great game.Comment
