Re: Off Topic 2012
Funny story happened earlier this morning. I went into a Tim Hortons coffee shop with my wife and son. This particular Tim's is is merely a 2 minute walk away from my old high school. Needless to say this particular Tim Horton's is always packed with High School kids all the time. I get in line and my wife and son go get a table. THEN, this high school girl comes over to me and tries to hit on me in a line up full of people. She touches my arm and says, "How come I haven't seen your handsome face around school before?" She kind of took me off guard. I chuckled and looked around and saw a gang of her friends watching in anticipation. I looked at my wife but she hadn't seen it. I thought for a second and then said. "You wouldn't have seen me. I haven't been to that school since 1996!" I stretched out my arm in my family's direction and said, 'Would you like to meet my wife and son?" Her face went completely white and started fumbling her words and saying sorry and whatnot. She walked back over to her group of friends who were laughing their butts off! She immediately left. I laughed, the people in the line up laughed it was great. Afterwards I told my wife what happened and she laughed as hard as I did.
You must live in the South, or in Europe or something lol. Because over here on the East Coast most of the younger, attractive women are either shy, or stuck up conceited.. Sometimes I feel you need an arrest warrant just to get them to talk to you.Minnesota Vikings

I thought he did live in England or somewhere in Europe. Maybe just the whole Liverpool thing is throwing me off.
P.S. that whole HAM and YOLO situation going on a few posts back had me cracking up. Those expressions piss me off as well.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Hmmm, possible job opportunity available. In the marketing business (imprinting company... they do imprints on everything from t-shirts to cars to signage). I don't have any marketing experience, and that's not what I'm going to school for, but I likely have an inside track as my fiance's boss uses this company a lot and they've become good friends with the guy who is in the position to hire new people.
I'm finally making decent money as a server after years of slaving for crappy paychecks in a pizza shop, so I'm not exactly desperate to change jobs or add hours somewhere else. But if there's a good opportunity out there...NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Watson, KRS-One has the answer to every question. Listen to BDP and that should take care of the pigeon problem one way or another.

Re: Off Topic 2012
So last Thursday I got a job running the warehouse of the company my dad has worked at for many years. Lot's of paperwork for shipping and receiving parts and stuff, the occasional parts run to the service technicians in the field, sometimes taking machines to or picking them up from customers (the company distributes and services copiers/faxers/printers). I started Friday working with the current guy running the warehouse (his last day is tomorrow).
Today I learned that not only are most of the machines priced anywhere from $10,000-$25,000 each and the forklift a relic from WW1, but there is a machine in a crate in the back of the warehouse which likely costs several million dollars...
I'm not sure I like working around such expensive machinery...Comment

Re: Off Topic 2012
Meh......most equipment in a regular store cost just as much.......So really no different. The only difference is you are more aware of the price now. If you look at it that way, you will be more at ease.Comment
