Depends on the city, there is no universal cost. It could be as low as $1.50 one way or as high as $6 one way. And typically the subway always cost way more then the bus, in some cities anyway they do.

For all the car guys here, what do you guys like as far as a "sporty" car for under 30,000 MSRP? I wouldn't mind a sedan, but I just haven't seen many I like that I don't consider bulky. Here's my personal short list that I've compiled to do research on:

I have a Mazda3, and love it, but if your budget is 30 grand you can do a lot better. I got mine for $18,000.

About 3 bucks or so though I get to go free on the TTC since I have a card that shows i'm vision impaired and that's one of the benefits of it.

The bus here (in Austin) you can buy a day pass for $2 and I think a day pass for the MetroRail is around $5.

In NYC its 2.50 for bus or train. If you are on a "luxury line" it can cost upwards of 3 bucks a seat.

In Syracuse a bus cost like a dollar by comparison.

You plan on moving to a big city?

In the Chi its 2.25 for a bus ride. On the Metra train it depends how far in the city you're heading. Range anywhere from 2.50 to 6 bucks per ticket.

I was randomly going through all the videos I have on my computer, I don't think I have watched this one since it first aired at the end of 1999. Just looked it up on YouTube and somehow it only has 40,000 views. This thing is the epitome of goosebumps for a sports fan.

Not a soccer fan but wow that's gotta be a huge upset that happened today. Heck, even I thought Germany would win in a walk.

Yeah, some people are just totally oblivious. One time I was crossing a street and this person had stopped short of the crosswalk so I thought they were letting me go (as they were supposed to). Well, I get about half way across and half way past the car and they start advancing through the crosswalk and I had to pretty much jump and dodge the rest of the way past the car.

Ugh, transit is a mess in Pittsburgh. The last 3-5 years it has been nothing but route cuts and fare hikes. They also use a zone system here with the zones being concentric rings centered on downtown Pittsburgh. Travelling within downtown is actually free while going on a route within a single zone is $2.50 (or will be starting next week I think). Not sure what it is between zones as I've actually never done that, but I'm going to guess $3.50. Transfers are $1.00 and the subway/rail system uses the same fare systems as the buses.

I loved it then, still love it now. One of the best sporting compilation videos ever.

Kinda funny you posted it, I was just thinking about this video yesterday.

Well, I'm finally trying to follow through with my plans to take a road trip to a bigger city. I hear it's faster to travel in places like Chicago using public transportation, rather than my own vehicle. I've got a friend that lives in Chicago and I can leave my vehicle at his place.

I was just trying to get a rough estimate. I knew it would vary depending on the location.
