Just a NASTY storm rolling through right now.

I unplugged my PS3 and TV.

For the past 15 minutes, It's been non stop lightning and that's not an over exaggeration. You couldn't count to one without seeing it flash.

I think all of North West and Central Alabama is awake right now. James Spann's twitter has been going nuts. Power is out all around the country from blown transformers. Trees and power lines down every well, also..

We're on the back end of the storm and my power, surprisingly, never went out. It's only crazy, because ours is usually the first to go.

Someone snapped this picture of their back yard at 2am.... just to show how bright it was from the lightning.

Yeah took some last summer and it has paid off, took 2 online over this summer. Don't think I need to take any more as I'm a semester ahead and after this fall i'll be on a pretty strict class schedule in my major.

The only problem is i'm borrowing my parents truck until I graduate so they don't like the idea of me staying up there next summer unless I have a job or a class

Yeah man I loaded up on classes during the summer, I took 3 classes during the summer last year and took 1 this summer. Thought about taking one more, but I am running out of classes to take that are outside of my degree.

Summer classes are awesome though, I really like finishing up a class that would take me a whole fall in 6 weeks.

I went to the kitchen for something to drink and heard something on the back deck. I look out and my cat is sitting on the banister, so I took a step out to survey the aftermath of the storm and I run right into one of these..

We had an intense staring contest and then he fled the scene.

I'm also hoping I don't get suckered into cleaning the pool, after that storm.

I think I could live without British music and not miss a beat.

Tough to live without Maiden, Zeppelin, Floyd, Straits, Who, etc.

Toss in some Stones and Sabbath, and I don't think I need anymore music than those there.

I would genuinely miss Pink Floyd. But even with Zeppelin and all the blues-rock bands, I'd still have the likes of say Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, Albert King, SRV, Jimi, etc. For me, it'd be harder to give up the American side/roots of the British rock explosion than to just go with the Brits. Plus, Brits don't have Guns n Roses.

Those things are so disgusting looking. I used to see them every so often in the backyard when I sitting out there late at night. Kill them all.

Yeah, I feel like my mind is going to explode by the time I get deeper.

2 episodes in, I'm interested in the show. I'm not completely hooked yet, but any show that has Evangeline Lilly in the rain (or just her in general) gets my approval.

The 2nd episode was pretty interesting. The first surprise swerve was Kate being the criminal on the plane. Wasn't expecting that.

I was also half-jokingly expecting the polar bear and whatever killed the pilot in the 1st episode to be that Vincent dog.

Jimi is great. SRV is greatest of all time, IMO. I can't get enough of him. The others I can live without.

The Stones and some of the others are just plain good music, but Zeppelin and Pink Floyd seem to just put me in a different place. It's almost like an experience listening to those 2.
