    Re: Cat Story.
We had a stray cat have a litter in our garage. I didn't notice really until one morning I heard mini meows outside my back door. I looked and the black one of the litter was under the crawl space area.
I plucked him outta there and put him back in the garage with the mom. Next day, same thing. This kitten can barely walk let alone get out of the garage and get to the crawl space.
So, I put him back in the garage again.
The next day I come home and the mother had moved all the other kittens across the street except the black one. Whish of course was in the crawl space again. I finally got the hint, she didn't want that one. So, I took him inside cleaned him up, went to the pet store and got some bottled milk and hooked him up and let him rest. He was in sad shape, crusty eyes, no strength, etc...
Then I got a box a rounded up all the other ferrel kittens and took em to the SPCA. You don't get choose which ones you keep *****.
I still have the black one. He's in the pic I posted a while back laying next to my dog.

I just rescued a kitten from my job. There was a cat that lived underneath our pickup ramp and she had a litter of 4 kittens about a month or so ago. Fast forward to last week and I notice that the mother has disappeared along with 3 of the kittens leaving one mewling around the back for a few days. So, I pick her up and take her home with me since I doubt that she would have last much longer alone like that in that area. She definitely was underfed; she demolished bowls of kitten chow each day.

The hilarious part (to me) is that my monster of a 25lb cat Bigs is absolutely terrified of her right now.

That reminds me of my sisters 120 lb Rottweiler. My sister works at a local veterinarian and has a bad habit of bringing her work home with her. At one point she brought home a puppy with a broken leg that had been left at her work because the owner didn't want to pay and Achilles was scared of it. Another time she fostered a Chihuaha puppy for a few days and the Rottweiler was scared of it too. He completely defeats the common stereotype of Rotties being big aggressive dogs.

This is why my GF will not allow me to buy a kitten and have it live at her place with her cat. She just doesn't want to change the character of her kitty.

Since we're telling cat stories I might as well tell one about my GF's cat Babe:

Babe got really really sick, turns out she had a cyst and the vet told us that Babe should be operated on. Well we couldn't do it that day or the next day since it was the weekend. The Vet offered to keep Babe there on an IV drip but we thought we could take care of her ourselves (plus it would save money) well she wouldn't touch her food and kept throwing up like crazy. We both had a moment of weakness and ended up crying over the cat and planning her funeral! I even went so far as to ask my GF to send me a pic she took of me and Babe one evening so i'd put it up on facebook and tell happy stories about her.

We laugh about it now but we were pretty damn distraught. We eventually took her back to the vet for the IV drip as we couldn't feed her any of the solution and she was in rough shape. It's a good thing we did that because if we hadn't she'd have likely died that weekend.

Luckily for the both of us Babe is doing MUCH better now

My friend's engagement party is on Sunday, and they're doing a 1920s theme. Any good retail stores people know of where I can whip up some kind of outfit by then?

I have no clue. I guess just a pinstripe suit and hat.

I've never dressed up for a costume party before. Haven't done the Halloween thing since I was a kid.

                        Maybe this year.

Yeah a pinstripe suit would work. I don't know where you could find one (maybe goodwill or something) but maybe you can find a fedora somewhere.

Yeah, I'm definitely going for the fedora and maybe a sleeveless pinstripe vest. I just didn't know if the bottoms would definitely have to match, and if I should scuff up some old dress shoes.

I also don't know where the best chain store is to get these things.

Watching this show on people who won the lottery. Most of them were pretty down on their luck... It's crazy that one ticket and your life is changed.

Never played the lotto. But man, that would be wild to win it...
