Re: Off Topic 2012
I had a friend in college who was obsessed with the number 47.
I lived on the same floor with him freshman year and it seemed like, after his rant on the number, I saw it pop up everywhere. I havent noticed it at all since.
The 47 infatuation is a pretty popular thing in pop-culture. You can find it all over the Twighlight Zone, Star Trek, and the X Files to name some. I think it pops up in Lost too but Im not too sure on that one.
And this has been random thoughts after reading a few posts in OT with King. Thanks for playing!Comment

Re: Off Topic 2012
I remember the days of being called off. It was always bitter sweet. Of course I wanted the hours, but I really didn't want to go to work. Now I'm an Exempt employee. Those days are long gone.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. When I heard the Pelicans name last night on the radio I just about laughed my head off.
Hopefully the leaked news was deliberate to get fan response because that's just a horrible horrible name. I don't care that the pelican is the state bird of Louisiana it's still a bad name.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

It's almost as bad as Penguins. Yikes.

There are plenty of stupid names in the NBA if you really think of it that probably sounded weird at first, also not that many intimidating names at that either.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment
