My undergrad was in applied math, chemistry, and biology and I have my master's in applied math. I miss some of the math since my job now is in programming and more statistics, but at least I got something "in" my field (I did mostly numerical programming) which is more than can be said for some people I went to school with.

Computer Information Systems. I got my job because of the degree, but I'm not doing anything that what I learned in school benefits me. I do some coding, but it's for a language they don't teach in schools.Comment

Re: Whats Your Major?
Currently a psychology major, as a sophomore, was previously a bio major, I was solid in high school then realized this is not high school bio. I managed to finish the semester struggling with Bio so realizing I would struggle more in the future I switched.Cal is turning more guys into millionaires than wall-street.

Re: Whats Your Major?
Well, looks like I am changing my major. I am going to be majoring in Management(Business Administration emphasis.) and minoring in something along the lines of History.. Econ.. or Marketing.
I also plan to get my teaching certificate, or join the M.B.A program here at my university, and be a GA on the football team. (Student Assistant now.)\Comment

Re: Whats Your Major?
I feel like we are long lost siblings buckeye I'm in almost the exact same situation. Changed my my major to management a semester ago but can't decide if I want to do that or teach history. I was thinking about getting a teaching certificate. Really torn up about it right now which path I should go down. I'm midway through sophomore year and don't want all my business credits to go to waste.Well, looks like I am changing my major. Re: Whats Your Major?
My, my, how times change.Major in Sports Management and minor in History. I'm still wondering if SM is even worth it, if it is a real degree or if it's a waste of time.
I think it would be really cool to get a job with the Cardinals HOF or Baseball HOF.
Maybe with a SM degree I could take over the head of my town's parks and rec dept and create an adult baseball league. Hooah!
Now I'm only a few months away from graduating with a B.A. in Sports Management. I've gotten an internship with the St. Charles Chill and things are looking up.
I'm hoping to get an internship this summer with a minor league baseball team. After hearing Mike Veeck speak, I don't plan on entering the major leagues until many years down the road. I'm looking to work at the ballpark, but not in a cubicle.Comment
