      Yep!

I have given homeless people a McD's double cheeseburger or a McChicken sandwich since they are only a buck.

I never give money though, cuz most the time that cash is going to alcohol, drugs, or smokes. I am not helping them with their habits. If they are hungry and want food, that is one thing, but to want just cash is always shady business.

This story sounds fishy to me.

I'm sorry, but if I just got made to look like a fool, the last thing I'm doing its running to a message board to let everyone know I was made to be a fool.

Also, as been said numerous times, there's probably rocks in the box. But the OP has ignored this and hasn't opened it? Uh, if you're so worried about getting ripped off, you'd have opened the box by now...

I believe him, what he's going through happens a lot here in Phoenix. I'm even on the road with my windows down with these guys coming at me trying to sell me speakers. I even had friends who got scammed from these guys.

Trust me, these guys are good sales people, they got skills.

            1. Rocks would probabl make a different enough sound or if they didnt, be a different enough weight to tell.

            2. I doubt OP sprinted to the forums to talk about this. He is pretty active and a solid poster, this has been a decent thread and being able to laugh at yourself is a good thing. The OP is clearly not you.

            3. He is not that worried about getting ripped off, he has a similar attitude as I do about these things. It sucks but **** happens. (Ex, I would let the person keep the bike they stole from me, if they would just explain to me how they managed to do it. Locked up with thick U Locks to a street sign. This has baffled me for years)

Also, sorry OP, I have no idea what your username is. I just recognize the George Carlin pic everytime lol

That's the difference between you and him.

I've been here for years and people always tell stories, even if it doesn't put them in a positive light or if people are going to find humor in it. It's part of what makes this site so good. You're making it sound like he got robbed, hoped on his Phone and posted 5 minutes after it happened. Even if he did, so what? I've posted things as soon as they happened.

The best ones are the really cute chicks that try to sell you cologne. I remember one time this really hot chick was selling me a no lable aqua di gio. She was giving me the story that these were samples from her work. I was like "ok great, I have the same bottle in my car, lets test it out." She pretty much booked it as soon as she saw a cop around.

I already learned not to give a hot chick that comes up to me any money....unless its at the strip clup.
The guy said he was from Phoenix and his name is Kevin.

Huh? Why did he get approached to prove he purchased something if he bought it off-site?

It certainly isn't limited to just the Phoenix area, had this happen to me about 3 years ago at a gas station here in NY out on Long Island. Didn't buy it but after the guy left me he went and approached someone else, the thing was I worked in an industrial area where there were a ton of shipping/distribution warehouses for all sorts of different companies so the "I'm on my way back to the warehouse" line actually kinda fit. In my case he showed me a random catalog that showed the same surround system as the one he was selling retailing for some ridiculous price.
