For $3.33, it is hard to beat. I don't know why people spend $7, $8, $10 on a frozen pizza when you can get something that is pretty good for what it is (I mean, really, you shouldn't expect much from any frozen pizza), and less than half the cost.

Re: The Pleasures of Life Thread
For all the times I posted in "grind my gears" thread I feel like I should post here more often lol.
One time I was just looking outside my house, and out of nowhere, some random person walks up to a house, and fixes their garbage bins for them(the bins were on the road(cause the garbage men sometimes just carelessly throw it on the ground)). They actually stopped, went on the street and got the bins, then put it back neatly at that persons house. I don't think it was a neighbor or anything, cause right after doing that, they continued walking down the street.
I also held the door open for someone in a wheelchair recently(I know that might sound pointless to mention, but to be fair...as many times in my life as I've heard people talk about holding doors open for those who need help, I've never been asked before in my life to help someone open a door before,so when someone actually asked me, I felt abit happy lol).Comment

Re: The Pleasures of Life Thread
Christmas(Winter for those who'll complain about the name) break.
Especially this year, as it's the earliest I'll ever start my break. Semester done in mid December this year(since it started almost right at the beginning of September), meaning I got more than half the month off!
I'd so much rather have the few weeks before Christmas off over having the few weeks after New Years off. Once New Years is done, you just have that "holidays are basically done" type of feel, but the weeks before Christmas, most people are usually much more relaxed(at least the people I know) and Christmas season for me is always fun/relaxing, so the more time off before it, the better.
This is one of the things I'm gonna miss when I'm done school. Not getting a week or two off before Christmas, and basically working up to Christmas Eve and then going back on Boxing Day or something.Comment

My wife and I are waiting for kids but seeing stuff like this and knowing that I will interact with my kids like this without all the fancy music and what not and have just a good time with them warms my heart.

Re: The Pleasures of Life Thread
Since I'm bashing stores/employees like crazy in the grind my gears thread, I should probably post some nice stuff here about stores........
It's nice to be known in a food store(especially if it's run by a family or something). Cause then they know what you come in for and sometimes might even just give you more than usual. And they'll never mess up the order or anything cause they know you and know how you like the food to be made.Comment

Finally getting a chance to visit NYC (Jan 24th-27th). Been dreaming about going since I was a kid. We also got Lakers/Knicks tickets for that Sunday. Can't believe I'll actually be in The Garden.Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you. Fool me twice can't put the blame on you. Re: The Pleasures of Life Thread
I stopped into a local coffee shop this morning to chill out with a good cup of coffee and just relax for a while, listen to some music and kill some time on the internet.
I'd never been there before, I walked in and the guy behind the counter was just super friendly guy. Saw I was wearing a Minnesota hockey shirt, and talked about the team for a bit. Also "made fun of me" for wearing an Arctic Cat snowmobile jacket, because he rides Polaris. Then we talked about snowmobiling and hockey for damn near 10 minutes (there was nobody in line behind me).
He goes to make my drink and says "You won't mind if I put an extra shot of espresso in there for no charge, right?"
I don't care if it sounds cheesy, that dude made my day! Nice to encounter such friendly people every once in a while. I gave him a healthy tip and will definitely go back there instead of going to Starbucks/Caribou.University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey
