That's one of my dreams when I get older. Before my old man really hurt himself we used to play catch all the time. We haven't been able to do it since around 2009 and it's something I sorely miss. I can't wait for the day to come when I have a son and we can play catch in the yard. Father/Son bonding like that is one of the most special things in my opinion.

^^^ It really is a special time to bond with son/daughter. My daughter (3 yrs old) still has some work to do with catching but she can sure crush a ball off a tee. She remembers her stance and everything.
She hits off a tee almost everyday and loves it. She is quickly becoming a baseball fan... Love it.

Yes i am (i score 98-99%) on standardized tests for my age group and all that jazz. I was on an academic team (best player (with another amazing player)) in MS that went to three national competitions, made playoffs twice, and went 7-0 our last time before losing in playoffs. I know its semi bragging but i had to answer your question.

Beating someone on NBA 2K14 who tried to cheat his way to a win and failed miserably at it.
Tried pausing as I was shooting free throws with Stephen Curry late in the game and I still made them. He wound up pulling the plug too.Comment

If he gets his doctorate as a professor he'll be Dr. John.

Re: The Pleasures of Life Thread
I mentioned certain tv commercials for "grind my gears" thread, but opposite of that I'll post in here.....
The thing I like:
TV commercial with countdown clock. Meaning it has a clock telling you how long until the show is back. I've only ever seen it used in 1 type of commercial before(they seem to pay for the final ad spot before show comes back from break) but either way...that's what commercials need to do! If there's a clock telling me there's just 20 seconds left until the show I'm watching is back from commercial, I'd actually sit through the commercial instead of just changing the channel for another 30 or something.
More commercials should do this. Right when a commercial break starts, the channel just airs its own countdown clock telling people that there's ___ minutes and __ seconds until the show they're watching is back. The problem networks have today with DVR and stuff is getting people to watch ads.....this might help slightly(I say slightly, because an alternative to this could be that people know exactly how long they have to tune out of the channel for)Last edited by Majingir; 03-16-2014, 04:19 PM.Comment
