The feeling of a new start.

I've been working a salaried position for the past 4 years. 60+ hours a week, company phone so i'm never really "off" 7 days a week, and I am just drained completely. If you were to calculate my salary by the hour it would be laughable.

This morning I received an offer letter from the Post Office which I interviewed at last week. It is everything I could ask for. I feel like weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

How about when you go to your normal grocery store that usually only has diet IBC Root Beer (all diet sodas are evil but that's a matter better suited to fight over in another thread) and today they had regular IBC Root Beer. Completely turned my life around for the better!

randomly checking the weather right before a storm hits, giving just enough time to take the dog out

idunno why this makes me feel like a boss, but when I take him out and 5 minutes after coming back inside it's a downpour, it makes me feel good lol

1 week till summer, meaning these next few days are longest daylight days of the year. Looking outside after 9pm and being able to see most things still is nice.

Party planning is actually fun. Not if I did it all the time, but hosting a family event for first time in ages, actually getting to have a say in everything for a change. So far the weather looks good so that's great news since the main plus about my place is hanging outside on a weekend afternoon /evening. Many haven't been here before, so getting to be here on such a good day, they can finally see for themselves how relaxing it really is here on a weekend evening in the summer.

Only big part is getting stuff for people's kids like drinks, frozen treats and stuff to play with. Another good reason it's outdoors, just let them run wild lol.
