As for myself, I hate things like roller coasters (I always fear the worst when it comes to that) and I can occasionally get a fear of heights in certain situations, but it's nothing too crazy. Like ITT, I'm fine with the two-sided ladders. Ladders that are leaning against the side of a house or whatnot are different story though.
I'm always convinced that the engineers of roller coasters have miscalculated and I'll get my feet or head clipped off.

I'm also convinced that some form of seismic activity will happen in my yard when I'm on a ladder cleaning my gutters. It hasn't happened yet, but that doesn't mean it won't

lol...only because this actually happened to me.

My family's old business had a leak in the roof so I went up to check it out. It's all flat roofs so that wasn't a big deal, but the part of the roof with the leak was about five feet higher than the other parts of the roof. It had started to snow/sleet and I wanted to at least cover where I thought the leak was with a small tarp until we could get a better look at it. I lean the ladder up against the wall, and about 4 rungs up (so just about the five feet), the ladder kicks out and I slam down onto it.

I'm a big guy and slamming down onto the wooden ladder was not cool at the time. Now I just laugh at it. Out of instinct and being pissed off at falling, I got up and walked around, but my left shoulder was bruised a pretty nice shade of yellow. I spent the next few days doing an impression of John McCain - just because it hurt like hell to lift my arms up any higher than that. My left shin caught most of the impact though, swelled up to a decent size and is still a little bumpy where the impact was. Luckily nothing broken, though I guess I would've found out when I started walking around without checking myself out first.

Nothing more than that though - so I'm happy.

After falling, walking around, and swearing as many times as I possibly could in a two minute span...I did go up (standing on a crate and belly-flopping over to the roof) and laid the tarp down until we were able to fix it.

              You're wrong for that.

But I'd be lying if I wasn't laughing my *** off right now.
