No but IMO that's apples to oranges. I own about 60 sneakers but a vast majority of them are not Jordans and or anyone else's signatures so they aren't "another grown man's" shoes. I own five pairs of Jordans I think. Most people that buy the popular sigs aren't a fan of Kobe, LeBron or MJ.

People wear jerseys because they're a fan of said player. I respect the hell out of MJ and he's the GOAT for sure but as a Knicks fan I hate that mother****er. In fact I didn't buy my first pair of Jordans until the Concords retroed in 2000 because I refused to buy Jordans before he retired because of what he did to the Knicks. I use to get so pissed at Knick fans wearing Jordans.

So anyway, I occasionally wear Jordans because I like the style, not because I'm a fan of Jordan.

Honestly, 99% of people wearing a NBA jersey in public look kinda trashy/foolish IMO. I don't wanna see some random guy's armpits in a Rockets jersey lol. It's a tough look to pull off if you're not a kid.
Wow that is looking way too into things.

With this logic people wearing Calvin Klein underwear can be considered wearing another man's underwear lol.

I just don't really see the big deal in all of this. It borders on some kind of phobia.

        Shirsey List:
        Ryan Braun x3
        Rickie Weeks
        Casey McGehee
        Prince Fielder (Tigers)
        Stephen Strasburg (IGNITE YOUR NATITUDE)
        Dany Heatley

In other words, yeah, I'm okay with it. Because they're pretty much all I wear.

              My shirsey collection consists of:

              Claude Giroux (Flyers)
              J.J. Redick (Magic)
              Nick Markakis (Orioles)
              Matt Wieters (Orioles)

and I'll probably invest in a Josh Hamilton shirsey at some point.

Oh, I know, I was just wondering...I don't really care about the name issue, I more just don't like the style of wearing jerseys now. I'm an adult, just isn't appropriate 99% of the time (for me)

Yeah I feel pretty uncomfortable in all jerseys besides a baseball one.

                  It's shirseys from now on.

Its sad if you r 20+ wearing a jersey of someone else. What is that telling your kids anyhow?

I have enough soccer kits to be able to wear a different one every month. So yeah, I see no problem wearing jerseys.

I wear shirtseys, jersey are too expensive. The only thing I have is that the player has be a good person off the field/court.

Can't wear another man's name on my back. I get that attitude from my dad. I had a shirt in high school with someone's name on it and he pointed out he wouldn't wear it if he was me. Considering my father is the manliest, most capable person I have ever known I tend to adopt many of his ideas.

My older brother has a Josh Hamilton jersey and we were teasing him about it. Honestly, I am a little jealous of the jersey, but considering my brother is vastly more successful than me, I'll take this little thing my dad approves of about me.

How insecure do you have to be to think wearing a jersey or shirt with another guy's name on it makes you less of a man?

Serious question. Why is it such an abhorrent thing to some of you? I don't get it.

I don't think it's an insecurity thing. I think most of us feel that as an adult you shouldn't care that much about another grown man who has no impact on your life. /bronxtale
