White pants/shorts are impossible to keep clean. I bought two pairs of white linen shorts last year and they're probably never coming out of my closet again. I don't know how women keep those things clean.

Cool thread! Been following a thread like this on NikeTalk, nice to see OS have its own!

My style is quite preppy and I usually try to look appropriately dressed at all times. I'm a big GQ guy, but as I expect most others would do, I go for the reasonably priced equivalent.

And yes, definitely go for timeless fashion and not trendy fashion.

Since people are sharing watches, here are my two so far:

So I'm looking into a sport coat. I'm leaning towards navy or brown but also considering beige and gray. Thoughts?NFL: Bills

I would go with navy or gray. I think those two colors match well with other colors.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Just look at the color of your own wardrobe and think if the colors you're considering will go well with your current wardrobe.

As Buckeye said though, Navy/Gray work with just about anything. They should be a staple in your closet. Considering the season though, getting a light-colored jacket would be good.Comment

I really love my black & gray checkered blazer. It goes with almost everything I have.

Polo shirts at Marshall's or TJ Maxx (to a lesser extent Ross). I'm a big fan of the PGA Tour shirts ($15-20), especially the South Carolina ones. Super comfortable and hardly ever require ironing. Has saved me 20 minutes in the morning getting ready for work.

Re: Fashion / Style advice thread

So I was asking before for recommendations on colors for sport coats... I'm finally starting to look into actually buying one or two. What do you guys think is a good price range for a decent sport coat? I know Joseph A Bank has those Buy One Get Two sales but each sport coat there is like $450, so it averages out to $150 per. Men's Warehouse has a Buy One Get One sale right now and each sport coat is around $190ish, so that seems like a pretty good deal to me, but I've never bought a sport coat before so I don't know if:
 1. Men's Warehouse is good quality.
 2. What a good price range is.NFL: Bills
 NBA: Bucks
 MLB: Cubs
 NCAA: Syracuse
 Soccer: USMNT/DC United

Re: Fashion / Style advice thread

You'd be so much better off going to a thrift store. It'd be significantly cheaper and if it's your day you can get something that is substantially better quality than anything you'd find at Men's Wearhouse or JAB.As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"Comment

Re: Fashion / Style advice thread

It all depends on the quality you want obviously. I bought a sport coat that I wear with jeans for semi-fancy evenings out at Kohls on sale for $99. I own three and I paid under $100 for all of them. The other two I got on clearance from Big & Tall."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: Fashion / Style advice thread

So if I do the BOGO at Men's Warehouse and get two for around $190 total, that's pretty reasonable?

I only own one suit and a bunch of dress shirts, but I go to school at Syracuse for business so it would be nice to have a couple sport coats or something for when I want to look dressy but not a full fledged suit kinda thing. And for like more dressy dates and stuff.NFL: Bills

Saw you guys talking about watches a couple pages back so i figured I'd post what I wear. Deuce Brand 2.0 watch. Not very fancy but I can wear it in the shower and nothing will happen to it. Saw it on Twitter after Stevie Johnson tweeted about it.

Also now that it's summer I've been wearing shorts like these

This sport coat was recommended on dappered if you're looking for something a little more affordable. Not sure on the quality but dappered usually recommends decent stuff...So if I do the BOGO at Men's Warehouse and get two for around $190 total, that's pretty reasonable?
