Re: What do you cook?
I am actually a chef. I do 95% of the cooking and shopping for the family. I love it. The kitchen is where my family would gather and spend time together as I cooked.
I like cooking traditional comfort foods from all around the world. Every country has their types of food that are considered a staple and comfort food, so it is nice to experience them all.Last edited by Bullit; 12-30-2012, 04:54 PM.In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Re: What do you cook?
I cook a whole range of stuff, curries, soups, Italian, Mexican, you name it.
My favourite thing to do is to buy a big joint of beef or pork and put in the slow cooker for 12 hours overnight and then pull it. You can get 3 or 4 decent meals out of it.Comment

Re: What do you cook?
I make a pretty good spaghetti, but that's about it.
I'm going to be learning to make other stuff now though. I told my wife I want to help her out more in the kitchen because she pretty much cooks everything 99% of the time, and that is the main thing in the house I don't help out enough with.Comment

Re: What do you cook?
Cooking is easy. I'm no chef supreme but give me ingredients and I can whip up something tasty. I don't understand why some people "don't know how to cook." You put the **** over heat and it does the rest. Seriously, if you're just cooking for yourself, you should know what tastes you like and don't have to worry about messing anything up. And the more experience you get, the better your dishes become.
It's so much more affordable too. You can get 2-3 meals out of what you pay for takeout or even a frozen dinner if you cook something up yourself.
Good response. However, at first cooking can be expensive. I am kinda new to really cooking and trying out recipes so I don't have many spices and ingredients, so if I want to make a recipe , it is expensive. Most recipes have at least 5-7 ingredients...minimum. I have a limited grocery budget as a single man that makes in the 20k's a year
