My mom and I upgraded our cell phones tonight as we were both eligible to do so. We share a plan since neither of us use many minutes. I got a Droid DNA just because, well, DNA Seriously though, it's a nice phone and the guy in the store even said it was his favorite. Just gotta figure out how to use it now.

I had a droid when the first Droid X came out. I remember it crashed a lot so my next phone was an iPhone 4. Thinking of going back to droid for my next upgrade....

SportsCenter just showed the interview of Bob Burnquist with his broken nose and I had to turn it off before I vomited. That's why I didn't look in the mirror for like 2 weeks after my car accident.

Who doesn't love it when your nosebone is in the shape of a lightning bolt?

I did, but I only got a small amount because of how much my mom/step dad make. FAFSA expects them to contribute a certain amount, but in reality they don't give me any money for college.

That happened to my girl (and me, to a point). Just because your parents make money doesn't mean they're going to pay your way. It's a ****ty process/cycle. Honestly, a huge deterrent in me getting back to school. I end up frustrated before classes even begin.

I got no money from FAFSFA. Part of the reason why I joined the military.

My first 2 years I had everything covered with the subsidized/unsubsidized loans, pell grant, a FL scholarship thing, and a small grant through FSU. Well my step dad made a lot more at Disney last year so I wasn't eligible to get the pell grant cause they expected my parents to contribute which is hard for them to do, but it was probably still possible. Well Disney then fired my step dad for the littlest mistake so that completely screwed me both ways and I'm waiting for FSU to approve this loan from Sallie Mae. The only bright side is my step dad now works for USSA which seems like a much better place so far.

Thankfully I just need a small loan to cover food, electricity, gas, etc.

I wish there was some sort of provision that made sure all tuition and fees would be covered via student loans, at least for people attending in-state schools. Filing bankruptcy doesn't even clear student loan debt, so they're going to get their money.

It almost seems like me leaving Bowling Green was a blessing in disguise, because there's absolutely no way I would've been able to finish. I think tuition/board/fees/etc. was around $28k my freshman year, who knows what it would've been now.

First summer at FSU I was helping a good friend of mine train for his football tryout. Well I was covering him one on one and the ball was thrown low and behind him so I kinda dove for the ball and my friend kicks me right in the nose with his cleats. Luckily the hospital on campus was 2 minutes away cause blood was just everywhere, it was a very awkward run and sit in the waiting room.

In short college is a dangerous place when you combine that and the time I got hit by a car last semester

Have you looked into private loans through places like Discover or your local bank? Also, can't you get on a payment plan so it's not all due in three weeks?

Am I the only one who changed the settings on here so more posts appear per page than the standard setting?

I expected it when I changed away from the default, but it seems like whenever page numbers are referenced in long threads, they are all from the default settings.

I just got annoyed with having to constantly page through while reading longer threads.

Not me, I like having a low PPP so I have an idea of how many posts I have left to catch up on.
